Rated 2 out of 5 by from A bit snug, lacks inner pockets, strange fleece I was so excited for this jacket. Love the colors and the look. First impression was it felt a bit restrictive, unlike one of the down-filled jackets I have that is not waterproof. Another feature I really appreciate with my down-filled jacket are the inner pockets, which I use to keep my phone and wallet sometimes when downtown in touristy areas known for pic-pockets. Sleeves pretty long, but can be tightened with velcro straps. North Face has a tendency to fit pretty snug. I like a little more room. I will keep the jacket, but wish they would try to improve size standardization. I wear this size across many brands without any awkward sensation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking for the perfect jacket? You found it! Just the jacket I was looking for!! I needed a jacket which was water resistant, wind resistant, warm and durable. The Polar is gives the exact amount of warmth I wanted for cold nights in the city as well as for cold weathers when I use it as a complete jacket on my hiking trips. Wind and water can´t get through even if I had a fan and a waterhose pointing at me at full throttle! Simply perfect for my needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lighter than I thought, and the sleeve snaps are dangerous! I ordered another jacket and it was too big, returned a big medium and got a small which was perfect, and so I just ordered a small and it fits great. I think the liner jacket is a little thinner than i expected, but the biggest thing is sometimes if you hand gets bunched in the end of the sleeve where the liner jacket snaps in to the outer one, it can unsnap and whip you... stung a little, so now i certainly take more time with the sleeves. I do like this, it is just a little lighter than i expected, but very very warm

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good rain protection, defective zipper As someone who "runs hot," I love the removable fleece under layer. The outer layer does a great job of keeping me dry during those late night, stormy walks with my dog. HOWEVER, my zipper gets stuck on the jacket lining every single time I zip up, resulting in a battle to remove the jacket. Half the time, I slip the jacket over my head like a sweatshirt. Other times, I try to fight through the obstruction. Finally, the zipper fought back and tore a hole through the lining. And by finally, I mean roughly the tenth wear. The zipper design is clearly defective, and I'm not the only one to experience this. Also, the return/warranty policies aren't conducive to fixing this issue due to the time involved. Should I buy a new rain jacket to cover the up to 8 weeks I'll be without this one? The bottom line is: if you're fortunate enough to get a jacket that zips properly, this is a great product. If, like me and others, your zipper is defective, I'd recommend looking elsewhere due to the difficulty in trying to fix the issue.
