Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS PACK! I am in love with my 32 liter Northface Litus backpack for day hiking in the Wind River Mountains. It is well designed for the hiker. I particularly like the side pockets for water where I take the standard 16 ounce commerical bottled water bottles. You can use a camel back if you prefer this. The back netting allows me to quickly store my sweater or rain jacket while I am on the trail. The two zippered pockets, one internal, one external at the top of the pack allows for storage of maps, compass, bug juice, first aid kit, etc., for easy access. There are two zipped side pockets I use for a camera and a GPS. I have also stored trail foodies in these at various times. The pack easily carries a down jacket, a bivvy sack and an extra meal when I am in the wilderness and might be caught for the night. There are loops for carrying external light items like my buddy's water bowl on a carabiner. The only thing that I have found that I don't like is there is no obvious way of carrying trekking poles or a fishing rod when they are not in use. I have punctured the back net a couple of times with my trekking poles. After a season's use, it has become my best pack of the 6 or 7 that I own and have used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Belt is way too large The specs say that the pack fits waist/hip : 28" - 42". Not true, or even close. I have a 33" waist and even when I cinched the belt as small as it could go, it was barely adequate. Wearing the pack in the store, I thought this pack was going to be the one, since it seemed comfortable. Unfortunately, with a hip belt too large it became a "no deal" as I walked out the store empty handed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes I recommend this bag. I bought the last one in stock at my TNF retailer in Aug, it also happened to be an XL I'm 5'6" fits well. Until now it has been used for commuting and bikepacking. The slung back is great to keep the heat from building up even in the cycling position, even better hiking with it. The shoulder straps disperse pressure evenly without digging in, even overloaded with groceries. The full zip along one side makes it a valuable asset for getting to your gear and keeping it organized especially in a tent. Looking forward and confident taking it into Algonquin for a snowshoe, x-country ski back country trip over the Dec. holidays

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly adjustable, comfortable and actractive, pockets! This is a very attractive pack, and has all the features I could ever want. I am going to order the large / Ex large one , simply because I must be someplace between medium and large. The small / Medium is a wee bit small on me. I think my only issue is the size labeling. Perhaps there should be three sizes...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack! Very comfortable! I'm 5' 4 1/2" and the small/med fits perfectly. Holds everything needed for a day hike and sits comfortably. Like the fact it unzips all the way for packing, and also easily accessible just from the top. Great Buy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lightweight pack but smaller than expected I ordered this from a different website but wanted to add my review here... This is a great fitting, lightweight pack. Love the material. The back panel is stiff without being TOO stiff and adds great ventilation. The waist straps are nice and flexible as are the shoulder straps..they are thin and lightweight and don't rub against the neck like some straps. What I don't like is that the pack seems much smaller than 32 L. I compared to other packs of the same advertised size and this one definitely seems to hold less. Would still be great for dayhikes or quick overnight hikes.

What is the pack capacity of the Small vs the Large backpacks. I read 22 liters 1342 cu ft but the title reads "North Face Litus 32 Pack"

Asked by: NanaBonn
Hiya NanaBonn, thanks for the question! This pack is 32 liters / 1953 cubic inches. The small/medium and large/XL refers to the torso size. Sorry for the confusion!
