Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty pack -- with some drawbacks Overall, this is a nice pack that looks good, has solid water protection, and is reasonably roomy. The built-in Joey charging system is nice but I think one could have even more flexibility in a pack by simply using a portable charger as needed. In general, the pockets/sections/sleeves work well. The bright contrast color helps when searching for items that are hidden in pockets. I currently own seven backpacks and their uses range from on the water (waterproof) to ultralight hiking to daily work. The reason I purchased this backpack was to replace a TNF Overhaul that could not be repaired (was purchased in 2007). That bag was the ultimate, and significantly better than the Inductor. The new Overhaul 40 is an intriguing bag and has been decent, but it does not add up to the daily work backpack that was the Overhaul. I really enjoy the Inductor pack and appreciate the fit. Overall, I think it's a nice pack. That said, it lacks quality in some areas which is concerning considering its ridiculous price point. First, the water bottle holders/pockets are the worst I have ever used. My stainless bottles shoot out of the holders like missiles when I try to put it in an overhead bin on a flight. It's really stressful, honestly. Also, if you pack the middle compartment of the bag, which is the open/general space, the contents push out against the bottle holder such that it's really difficult to get a bottle to fit in that space. So, the most serious design flaws are the bottle holders on each side and the way the middle pocket compromises the bottle holders. I guess I would say the bag has been good but it's nowhere near as useful or awesome as my original Overhaul. I should also note that the laptop compartment is really nice but the discontinuation of the velcro strap to hold it in place was a massive oversight. Bags from 2014 had this feature but it was not continued, unfortunately. Overall, nice bag but doesn't merit the price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TSA-approved Laptop Backpack - Period. I've been lugging around an old HP backpack for about 10 years and finally decided to upgrade after seeing some of my colleagues with new Swiss Gear TSA-approved bags. While the Swiss Gear seems nice, I was looking for something of higher quality with more pockets. I researched all kinds of backpacks because I wanted to make the best decision. The North Face Inductor Charged backpack immediately caught my eye and I was excited about the included batter to charge my tablet and smart phone because of all the travelling I do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product that got used to Inductor Charged is a very useful and durable backpack that I assure you, you will get used to it, it is really practical and can load all your stuff, well depends on what you want to put in this bag! For me I use it in my travels. It hold my laptop, my phone, even my DSLR and a big lens too. A small umbrella, a water bottle, a jacket, some snack and much more. The material that makes this bag is very very good. I just had an issue with the shoulder straps and the padded mesh of the back panel, they're made of rough texture that scratched my T-Shirts, so you'd better take care about what you will be wearing when holding this bag on your back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Inductor Charged Backpack is GREAT. Period. Its a pricey bag, so I wasn't really sure of the purchase initially but I've had it for some time now and I can say its worth the price and then some!. The quality of the materials used is very good, I doubt there will be tear in years to come. Just last week I stuffed in my entire weekend gear into it and everything fit in just fine. The Joey charging station works but with the proliferation of power banks in the market, not really sold on the concept yet. One thing I would change is the color on the inside - its a bright yellow - would go with more understated colors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Investment Ever I bought this so I could use it for travel for work. I'm out and about a lot for concerts and music festivals while I'm working and this backpack is a lifesaver with the charger. It's not very easy to find outlets in the middle of nowhere to charge your phone. The bag is also really roomy. I can fit about a week's worth of clothes in the bag along with my toiletries and my iPad, so it's a win!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the price for our student-athlete! My new NorthFace Inductor Charged backpack backpack replaced my old NorthFace backpack that got me through my last 2 years of high school and first semester of college. As a student-athlete I travel quite a bit and my NorthFace Inductor Charged backpack helps to keep my laptop charged so I can stay on top of my course assignments while on the road & in the air. The outlets in the buses and planes we take do not always work and finding available outlets in airport terminals is becoming increasingly difficult these days.
