Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this tent for car camping The Homestead Roomy 2 is an awesome tent for car camping. Very easy to set up, the doors make it easy to get in and out of the tent (even large enough to get a full size mattress in there). The stake and pole bag converts into a nice little gear loft, and the internal dry lines are great to have too. This tent is the exact same size as the Stormbreak 3, so to say this is a two person tent makes it a very roomy two-person (hence the name). This tent has two doors, and two large vestibules, big enough to store some items without exposing them to the elements. The rainflys for all of these tents make them stick out, so finding your site is pretty easy. It's definitely been a conversation starter with neighbors and others campers. I've used it in cold weather and heavy rain, no problems whatsoever. As always, it's smart to invest/create your own footprint to insure the durability of the tent floor. My only negatives to the tent are there are no vents at the top, but I haven't had any problems with condensation in winter camping. Also, differing from the Strombreaks, this tent uses sleeves instead of external clips for the poles, which is cumbersome in my opinion. TNF, if you update this model, change it to the same style clips as the Stormbreaks. Much easier for setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An eye-catching, beautiful tent! My husband and I received this tent as a wedding gift. We didn't pick it out, but we absolutely love the "low-poly" design. It is an absolutely beautiful tent and we are constantly getting compliments. Its also an eye-catcher, because when we explain to other campers where we are, they reply "The cool looking North Face Tent?", so we know we aren't the only ones who love the way it looks. Looks aside, its still a great tent. I love the different features of it. We are able to keep shoes and a few other things outside, and they are still protected from any rain because there is a large vestibule outside each of the doors, which frees up a little space and allows for the tent to stay clean from our shoes. There are mesh pockets in each corner that are very useful, we usually put our phones, wallets, etc. in them while we are asleep, but we could stuff a lot more in there. We also really love all of the loops and cords that make it easy to hang a light and other things, and we also like the features from the pole-bag and can use that to store a lot of items as well. Overall we love the tent, and if you love camping in comfort and style, you will too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Tent! Tent is simply superb. As the name would suggest, it is very roomy. Can fit a Queen with some extra room. Easy setup. Also tested in harsh south Florida rain, completely dry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappionted Used this tent at Oregon coast, breeze blew drizzling fog under the 7" gap of the rain fly vestibules, right through the tent soaking everything inside. Tent was very easy to set up but the bottom stitching on the rain fly pulled out at one of the stake loops in a 8 to 10 mph breeze. If you use this tent in any wind make sure the vestibules are 90 degrees to the wind or it will blow right through the tent. Disappointed that the stitching at a stake loop would be so weak it would separate on the first use. I have owned lots of North Face products for around 40 years and have never been disappointed until now. The workmanship and design is not the same as it used to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All Around Tent! From the Grand Canyon to the Zion back country, I used this tent everyday for three weeks and really enjoyed it. The tent construction is of excellent quality and the rain fly is extra durable. Easy to set up and take down. The stuff sack is designed well and easy to get the tent back in (even has enough room to pack a footprint too). Tent is rated as a Roomy 2, but it also works great as a Friendly 3 as long as you don't mind it being a little tight. Tent is on the heavier side, so if you are a minimalist, it might not be the best choice for backpacking. With that being said, I carried it in my pack on a 25 mile trip and it didn't bother me. Great for car camping. Held up very well in strong 40mph+ winds. Also kept everything dry during the rain. No problems with condensation. Would buy this tent again!
