The North Face Girl's Kira Triclimate Jacket is a 3-in-1 jacket for winter sports fun. No, I'm not talking curling, but I guess she can do that in this if she really wants. The waterproof, breathable DryVent™ 2L shell shields her from snow, rain and wind while the removable, insulated liner keeps her warm. The shell has all the features she needs for skiing or snowboarding such as a powder skirt, fixed hood and goggle cloth plus a pass pocket on the left sleeve. The liner is insulated with 150g of Heatseeker™ insulation, which'll increase the heat whether zipped in or being worn on its own during milder days. Zip her into the jacket and send her onto the slopes.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I buy north face every single year for the whole family Use it for kids in any cold type of weather. For days that it isn't as cold they wear the inside layer for the really cold they wear both or when it's not cold but raining they use the outer layer great has vents for they can have air flow while wearing the coat so it doesn't got to hot in sweaty love!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this again. Nice jacket. Like the zip out lining so it can also function as more of a shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmer in MN Bought for my 16 yr old daughter, a big north face fan. She loves it! Had to find somewhere to go just to wear it outdoors. She says warmer, wind proof, versatile for her needs and wants. She has not warn them separately, but looking forward to showing off the beautiful liner jacket color. Great investment all the way around for a picky fashionable young lady. Ps- the jacket also fits smaller framed moms.

Thanks for the response! I'm debating between this jacket and the woman's Nuptse 2. Which would you consider to be the warmer jacket? I get cold easily and want a GOOD WARM winter jacket!

Asked by: Squeeky08
Hiya Squeeky08, thanks for your question! The Kira jacket is warm but it is meant for active use, like hiking and snow sports. Without the movement of your body generating heat, the Kira jacket will not be as warm as the Nuptse 2. The Nuptse 2 has has 700 fill down, which is toasty yet still light. Keep in mind that the Kira is only available in girls' sizing, while the Nuptse 2 is only available in womens' sizing. Hope this helps!

What temperature is this jacket rated to?

Asked by: Squeeky08
Thanks for the question! The North Face doesn't actually temperature rate their jackets. Based on your location, the Kira will be great. Their Triclimates are insulated and have the shell for water and windproofing. Hope this helps!
