The North Face Aleutian 35/2 Sleeping Bag is a synthetic sleeping bag for enjoying the outdoors in mild weather. The Aleutian 35/2 has a temperature rating of 35 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celcius), which fits well into the spring and summer seasons. Dual full-length zippers allow you to lay the bag out flat for use as a blanket for a more home-like feel, or on warmer nights. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good entry level sleeping bag for the price This was my first backpacking sleeping bag that I bought 5 or 6 years ago. I bought two of them, one left and one right zipper so I could mate them together. My wife and I fit very comfortably in them. I thought the bag is very roomy for a mummy style. It was plenty warm for me but we only camp in the summer. The bags have held up well, typical TNF quality. I am doing this review because I am looking for a smaller or lighter bag than this one for backpacking. This bag is one of the larger heavier ones but like I said, for the price a great deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, not as great as I expected The bag is light and compact, quality looks solid as compared to other brands I have used. Although the temperature rating seems to be a bit misleading to me. rated at 35*/2* I would expect to stay warm in 55* weather. I tested this product in the Mojave desert, slight breeze and a low of 55*, I was extremely uncomfortable, woke up freezing in the middle of the night( sleeping in a Stormbreak 2 tent which I know was definitely keeping heat in and wind out). Also I am overweight and this bag is a big tight, giving a feeling of being strapped down. Great bag for someone lighter than 240lbs at 5'5". I will be investing in a warmer bag soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very nice sleeping bag for the price! great value The first time I opened it I was excited to use it already had my tent set up so I rolled in it and found out that it fit me perfect even though I bought a large witch I thought might be an issue (I'm only 5'9) it fit me very well and there was a really cool pocket at the foot of the bag to let your feet get air after a long hike I also liked on how it's universal fit my girlfriend got the same exact one in normal size and she loves hers to the only complaint I have is that it's a little bulky in my osprey exos 48 pack but once I get a good compression bag should not be an issue good job north face thanks for the good bag at a great value for the beginning rec hiker

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sleeping bag! Unless you're petite. I bought this bag for summer and fall camping. I've used a it a few times and I don't find it very warm. However, I'm very petite (5'2', 105lbs). It's a very well made sleeping bag, and I recommend it. However, it's not great if you're small and don't take up a lot of room inside of it. It's a lot bigger than I expected.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too constricted I had bought the regular size bag as I am only 5'10" and 195 pounds, so I was excited when the bag arrived and it was the colour and the style that I have been looking for along with the dual zipper for warmer nighttime use. But once getting in and trying it for size and eventually getting the zippers done up it was so constricted and tight I could not even roll over and turn in the bag. After that I was so disappointed in the purchase decided to give it to my daughter without ever having used it and I purchased a Big Agnes hog park sleep system that has more than enough room and it's still light enough for a canoe camping/ hunting trip. I have always liked north face equipment but they need to redesign the sizes of their sleeping bags.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Froze my butt off at 50 I purchased this sleeping bag while travelling. I needed a warm, lightweight bag and was determined this was the perfect bag for me. I was very excited when I discovered the store had it. I was so excited that I grabbed it up, not realizing I accidently got a long. I'm 6' tall and 230 lbs. I promise a regular is more than long enough and the bag is plenty roomy. The long will accommodate someone nearly a foot taller than me. I tried it with 2 different sleeping pads and froze my butt off in temperatures over 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I would have needed some excellent thermals to be comfortable. I still like the bag, but it will be my warm weather bag. I have a military bag that is good from 0-40 and I'll try something else for the 40-60 range

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy for a versatile bag I bought this sleeping bag recently before a trip to the Redwood National Park in upstate California. The temperatures ranges in the 50s at night. This bag provided more than enough warmth. Additionally, converting this bag into a blanket by unzipping the side zipper makes an excellent feature which you can use to carry around camp or just hang out in the tent. It also packs relatively small. I can easily pack it into (or attach) my Banchee 55 backpack. The versatility of this bag makes it a great buy for any camper or casual backpacker.
