Rated 5 out of 5 by from The softest aggressive shoes I've owned Not that I own a lot of aggressive shoes, but the leather of this product is so soft that makes you forget that it has a sharp edge until you put it on. I've been using it indoor for a while now and it has been great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great show! I bought these about a couple weeks ago. I’m still in the process of fully breaking them in but out of the box I was surprised at how comfortable they are. Compared to my other climbing shoes which took a little while longer to break in I was happy. The fit on these are good the heel is a bit “wide” and didn’t notice until I got on the wall. But toebox and arch fit well on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Holy Grail These shoes are incredible. I wear a size 10 1/2 - 11 in street shoes. My Tarifas are size 9. They climb better than any shoe I have worn in 42 years of climbing. They are very snug, but no hot spots. No pain. I wear them 2 hours at a time. Very comfortable! They edge well, smear, do everything. Bought 2 pairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and sensitive shoe I highly recommend these tenyana tarifa, they're more sensitive then my other shoes and fit great. I slipped off a heel hook but I think it was due to my less than ideal placement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit I normally wear a 14 and ordered these a half size smaller. The fit is awesome. By far the most comfortable agressive shoe I have worn. The liner makes them a little warm. Great for edging and small holds. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, aggressive, comfortable I bought one full size down from my regular fir, and these were still comfortable enough not to feel the need to rip them off after every sport route. Great shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible fit! The break in was a little painful but after 2 weeks, they were fine. I've never had a shoe with a heel cup that fit so well. I took these to Hueco and every heel hook I threw felt so secure. These shoes are excellent for technical footwork. I wouldn't recommend these for smearing and the rubber is thick so you lose some sensitivity bug if you're doing overhung routes, these shoes are for you! What they say is true, most comfortable high performing aggressive shoe you'll ever own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensitive, Comfortable and Just Aggressive Enough I bought my first pair of Tenaya shoes earlier this year (a pair of Masai) and I loved them so much then when it came time for a resole, I opted to fill the time-to-resole with an entirely new pair of shoes - the Tarifa. The Tarifa did not disappoint. Flexible and sensitive, they allow me to feel the wall and place my feet with precision. The fit seems to be the thing that most people are curious about, so let me mention that - I wear a 9.5 street shoe (running shoe fit - reasonably snug), with a narrow, low volume foot and a reasonably long big toe. My biggest struggle with aggressive shoes has been the excessive big toe compression while the rest of my foot doesn't fill out the shoe (I'm looking at you, La Sportiva!). Not so with the Tarifa. I am wearing an 8.5 (one size down from street shoe) in the Tarifa and my foot fills out the shoe perfectly, while the big toe is compressed just enough to drive all of the force into it while remaining comfortable. I did try 1.5 sizes down from my street shoe as well, and if I were into a bit more pain, it would have worked as well, but I opted to ride closer to the comfort side of things while retaining performance. A lot of people say that there is no break-in period with Tenaya shoes, and that they fit out-of-the-box the same way they will fit down the road. I experienced this with the Masai, but not with the Tarifa. They were reasonably comfortable out of the box - way more comfortable than all the other brands - but over the course of several weeks they have definitely broken in, become more comfortable, formed more to my foot and feel like a custom-molded slipper. They were reasonable out-of-the-box and have only gotten better. I hate constantly taking my shoes on and off, and because these are so comfortable I don't have to. But in the event that you want to, the lacing system is extremely quick and easy. If you're looking for comfort and performance together in a shoe that allows you to feel the climb, looks great and is convenient to get on and off, Tarifa might be your answer.
