Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rope For a cheaper rope it works like a charm. I have been using my current rope for about 2 summers now. Climb about 10 times a summer. Still looks brand new and also cut it in half to use as two separate ropes to last even longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You cannot get a better rope than this, -Libecki I have used this rope on many major big wall first ascents around the world.,,As a matter of fact, I have used Sterling Ropes on all of my expeditions and first ascents, going on 20 years now! I would not use any other ropes. This is a straight up, cold hard testimonial to Sterling Ropes. LOVE THEM! You don't need to think about what ropes to buy, it is Sterling, you are all set. - Mike Libecki

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super durable rope, high quality! I bought this Sterling Rope, about 2 years ago, and it has gotten a lot of use and I mean ALOT. It has taken be up and down the mult-ptich of Fischer's Tower in Utah to single pitch routes of Horseshoe Canyon Arkansas. As I said in the past year this rope has gotten alot of use, sure the color is all nasty now but it has stayed tried and true.,,,,After a year of tough use the bomber seath (I'm not a beautiful speller) has some rough edges and it can be a little heavy on long draw out pitches but that is because it is a 10.4 rope and not a 9.8, A definite buy and a great rope for a beginner climber, this rope will take your beginner mistakes abuse much better than a skinny rope!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth like butter. Sterling makes a great rope and this is no exception. Have been using it for for top-roping with a school climbing group and I have no doubt that it will withstand the abuses of teenage climbers. We have the standard (non-dry-treated) rope and it still runs smoothly through the anchors and belay device. Will definitely continue to purchase Sterling in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rope cant go wrong with Sterling This rope is a work horse, Great sheath, not to heavy for the size, and flakes out well. Bottom line if you want a rope that is going to last and last for a long time this is your rope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good rope for beginners. This rope is great for beginners and those who don't mind stretchy rope. Being a large rope, this rope is proned to being stretchy. It is still a very nice rope.

Climbers want to know the impact force of a rope.  We want to be able to sort ropes by diameter and length.  Sterling ropes generally have a higher impact force which means I buy other brands.  Therefore show us the kilo newtons.

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us. We're always looking for constructive feedback about our site, and you did not fail to deliver. I'll pass that information on to the 'the boys upstairs'. As for this item, however, the impact force is 9.3 kilonewtons. Hope this helps you out.
