DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good garment but could better I bought this garment during Dec 2015. I used it all season long, at least 4 times a week. It was used both as a mid layer and by itself to keep me warm around the house. The front panel is great for blocking wind an I used it several times to cycle. The breathable back was very useful during cycling. By itself it isn't too useful on cold (44°F or lower) and windy days but a good shell paired with this allows it to provide good warmth. My disappointment with the garment comes from the union between the wool back and the front panel. I think it could've been done in a more durable fashion. It isn't just in one spot either. Wherever the wool meets the panel is an opportunity for the fabric to tear apart. I've had this garment for less than 6 months and though I have given it heavy use, I had hoped to keep it intact for at least a year. I've attached a photo showing one of the tears. I have two, one on the right side under the pocket and one on the left under the pocket. There is also a third one developing near the neck line. Overall I'm pleased with the garment's versatility but I wish it hadn't started coming apart at the seams I mentioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favorite jacket ski base layer that became my go to for warmth and comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday piece! I liked the idea of this item as a mid-layer piece for additional warmth on the coldest on-mountain days in Colorado or up North, but once I got the SmartLoft Divide back in Texas I find myself wearing it as a sweater on every cool-to-cold Spring/Fall type of day. Regulates temperature very well, whether outside or in the office, holds up well for an everyday piece, and looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it to ski in but wear it everywhere! Ok so I bought this jacket to use as my midlayer while skiing for 6 days straight in Zermatt and I did and it was amazing! Dried quickly in between runs and overnight and it kept me more than warm. it doesn't even smell and I sweat quite a bit. I bought the flashy green and I even found myself wearing it everyday before I left for my trip! If you need a good midlayer, I strongly recommend you pick this up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for layering Light jacket? Amazing. Mid layer/vest? Even better. It keeps your core warm and regulated without overheating. Great athletic fit and moves with you. It is a little pricey, but well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect mid-layer I've worn it skiing. And I've been wearing it around the city a lot. This thing is perfect. Find it hard to take it off. Prob need another one. It is lite and it is warm. Gives that extra layer in winter that makes you comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light jacket This is an amazingly well made light jacket. I wear it just to go out and also for running. It fits really well and seems to be made very solidly. I was expecting this jacket to be a bit warmer. Wearing it with nothing but a t-shirt on underneath, it will keep me warm down to about 50 degrees F. Below that my arms tend to get cold, even when I wear this running. I am skinny with very long arms so when I use the thumb holes, which I love, I feel like I am stretching out the sleeves. Overall this is a great jacket!
