The Sea to Summit Alpha Light 3-piece Set. The Alpha Light Cutlery uses a durable hard-anodized aircraft grade aluminum combined with a sleek yet-strong shape to create an extremely lightweight utensil at a surprisingly affordable price. By hard anodizing the aluminum it forms a kind of "exoskeleton," so the shape of the utensils can be slimmer and lighter. This hardened shell also encapsulates the aluminum, so there's no risk of the alloy leaching onto food.

AlphaLight Cutlery is available in two sets. The two-piece is the ultimate lightweight backpacker's set. Also available individually: fork, knife, spork, regular length spoon, the unique and ultra light SHORT spoon and the popular LONG spoon. The long-handled spoon design is perfect for eating out of individual camp food packets and using tall pots now popular with the Jetboil-shape stove/pot kits.

  • Lightest metal cutlery on the market
  • Ultra-light and strong 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set of utensils! Remember those crappy untensil sets that all clipped together? Remember how bad they were? I do... I hated those things. Last summer before I hit the road I went into Moosejaw to see if I could find something better than those terrible things. and? I most certainly did! This set is great. simple. cool looking. and quality construction. well worth the $20. And if you are backpacking, I would recommend taking a step up in price/quality and getting the titanium version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The mini-caribiner is flimsy and breaks after little use I love how lightweight these utensils are, and my wife and I both have a pair. No complaints about the utensils themselves. Unfortunately, both our mini-carabiners broke after very little use. They are super flimsy and didn't even stand up to a few meals, let alone a serious backpacking trip. This makes it easier to lose or misplace the utensils themselves, or you have to tie them together with twine. Rather disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight set is great This utensil set is great, rather than fumbling with a spork/foon/permutation, go with real cutlery. Strong materials, but the holes tend to collect food goo. If you're eating freeze-dried on the trail, you may be able to get by with just a spoon or a fork, but when you decide to eat real food, this set is there. The caribiner clips it all together, which is nice. Also S to S makes a tent peg/cultery bag for such a set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thin but work well These are light! The little biner that they give you I feel is a bit flimsy so be careful. It's useful but still.,,,,They are super thin. I somewhat worry that I'll accidentally bend one but if I do, they're cheap enough that I wouldn't mind buying a new one. ,,,,Overall they are great for moving food from your pot (shouldn't have a weird coating btw, these will scratch it up and off) to your mouth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used many times and still awesome! I have had this set for years now, and never have been disappointed. Very light and strong, work as well as pulling a set from your kitchen. They don't compress or fold in any way, which does make it a bit interesting to find a place in the pac for em. I personally just toss them in a ditty to keep them from poking anything. So all in all I would recommend this set over any other available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Silverware This set has been my go to silverware set for all outdoor activities. All of the utensils work great and they are super light weight when ounces matter. When backpacking I only carry the spoon because that is generally all I need. I have used plastic silverware, and this set out does it by a long shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, strong, gotta eat! After not having anything to eat with on a camping trip, I figured it's time to pick up something to stay with the gear that way I won't be stranded again and eating a like a caveman. They're pretty simple, but they do the job. Might as well add em to your pile of gear
