The Patagonia Women's Vosque 3-in-1 Parka is a waterproof parka for enjoying the city streets on a cold winter day. The parka gives you three solid options before you step outside the door on your way to work, even though there are only an outer and an inner jacket. The outer shell is made with two layers, providing a waterproof/breathable and windproof barrier against the worst of weather, and since it isn't insulated, you can wear it in fall and spring on its own when the temperature is a bit warmer. Did someone say rain parka? As for the inner jacket, it's all about warmth, just don't bring it out in the rain by itself. The 100g Thermogreen® insulation is a synthetic, which will heat your body against the wintery cold. On a dry day, feel free to take it out for a spin, just you and a long, slightly puffy piece. When winter is treating your city with snow or sleet and super cold temps, zip the two together and pretend you're in a snow globe.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fall/winter parka I've been on the hunt for a new parka to get through those cold, wet days in the fall and spring where a waterproof-windbreaker just won't cut it, but it's not time to bust out the down coat yet. The Patagonia Vosque is exactly what I've been looking for. The price point was well above what I've paid in the past for similar insulated parkas, but I've gotten so fed up with products that claim to be waterproof yet soak through within minutes. Patagonia's materials truly live up to advertising and the design features are worth the extra $$. The outer coat is much sturdier and warmer than I anticipated, which means I've actually been able to wear it alone on some fairly cold nights, sans liner. The liner is a fun contrast color that zips in/out very easily. It's thinner than I expected, but it seems to be quite warm, and the thinness also ensures that the coat doesn't completely change its shape and fit when you add or remove the liner. This is a huge improvement over my previous parka which looked completely sloppy on me without the bulky liner. The Vosque is extremely well-tailored no matter how you wear it. In theory, the liner can be worn on its own, but I probably won't since I only tolerate Michelin man seams when I'm forced to wear a down coat. So far, my only complaint is that the neck of the outer coat is quite stiff in the front when fully zipped. This seems to be because both the hood and the liner attach in that area, so there's a fair amount of concealed hardware. On the bright side, the stiffness helps hold the collar up, so it keeps the wind out. Given how well the rest of the coat works for me, I think I'll get used to this feature quickly. In terms of sizing, I sometimes need a medium due to broad shoulders and a large bust (I'm 5'8", 28" waist, 38" hips, 30F). Not in this coat! The small left plenty of room in the upper body while maintaining a tailored look through the waist and hips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this parka! I was looking for a lightweight puffer and a raincoat, then I found this. I LOVE it. It looks very nice and I like the fit. I have only worn it with the liner in so far but I am very happy with this purchase. It’s warm, waterproof and looks very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and practical Decided to invest in a new winter coat and did a LOT of research and tried on many different brands and styles. Settled on this one after much deliberation and I am very glad I did. Pros: The most chic and yet outdoors friendly coat I've come across as it is very nicely tailored (I have already had many compliments from people; I got the carbon(green) one and it's also a lovely, elegant dark green color); Super functional for biking; Very warm for the thickness that it is and seems sufficiently water repellent (haven't tested in a downpour); great even if you're petite (I'm 5 ft) as it is one of those rare long coats that don't drown you and comes in just above knee level for me; 3-in-1 so you can use the outer shell as a Spring/Fall jacket if you wanted to. Cons: With only a shirt and thin sweater the coat is not enough for near to or sub 30F weather (I wore it through an NYC winter) if you are just standing around (if I'm biking at 30F it's no problem as I warm up quickly) so you definitely need to layer a bit if you need it for cold temps where you are not moving, so size accordingly; It doesn't have a ton of pocket space, the two outside pockets are fine for a phone and wallet, but if you are used to roomy parka pockets it ain't that (I guess you sacrifice that for the chic silhouette so I'd say it's a necessary evil). I'd say it runs true to size; I am 5 ft and 130lb and small is my usual size; the small in this style is perfect, looks great without a layer (not baggy), but there is room for a fleece underneath if you need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome versatile jacket! I LOVE this jacket. It’s well fitted so it looks great on (not typical bulky winter coat). I’ve been able to wear it all months of the year as layers or together. I get compliments every time I wear it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Parka I bought this parka about a month ago and I am so glad I did for the cold winters we have here. I love the 3 different ways to wear it. It is very nice and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My search is over... Love this jacket! I live in The Netherlands where it constantly rains and can get quiet chilly throughout the year. I was searching for a jacket to invest in and this jacket withstands it all. Some features I like: Having the double zipper allows me to ride my bike easily which is wonderful because I wanted this length just above my knees. Usually I have issues with sleeve length but it fits just right and its slimming around the waist so not too bulky. I bought a medium, I am 160lbs, 5'10''. Only area of concern is I would like to hide my lower face and chin from the wind sometimes but the neck is a little too small for that, but a scarf handles that issue just fine. Anyway, I hope I can keep this jacket for a very long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best winter jacket I originally bought this jacket for a 3 week trip to NZ in the winter. It is absolutely amazing! I love that it has the versitility of a 3-1 without the bulk. Each layer looks good on its own but I normally wear both together. My house burned down in the Northern California fires this October and this jacket was also burned. But, I loved it so much I had to rebuy it again. Patagonia makes great products and they are a great company that I want to support. This jacket was great for 3 weeks in NZ and I also wore it during winter months in Northern California Bay Area. I have no tested it in really cold temps like the east coast or Midwest. But for the wet West Coast this jacket is a winner!

Can someone tell me how well outer layer of this coat may function as a raincoat? I'm really in the market for a raincoat, but I like that this is more versatile than just that. Just need to know how waterproof "waterproof" is...

Asked by: AdventureKat
Hey there, AdventureKat! Great question. The shell is definitely waterproof and windproof, and you are correct in that this is super versatile. The outer shell is a great rain jacket, and the inner liner is a nice lightweight mild weather jacket. Zipped together, they make a great cool/colder weather rain jacket. Hope this helps!

Does this jacket have any interior pockets? Do the sleeve openings have a interior cuff to keep out the cold?

Asked by: jkgevanston
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The exterior shell has no interior pockets, but it does have adjustable bands at the end of each sleeve with two choices for a snap closure. The insulation layer has an interior Napoleon pocket on the left chest and no elastic or such to keep out the elements.

What is the recommended temperature range for this jacket?

Asked by: natalie
Hey there, While Patagonia says this parka will work above the 45th parallel, everyone has a different opinion about how cold is too cold which should be considered. The Patagonia Vosque 3-in-1 Parka offers the combination of a shell and zip-out liner and gives you three different options depending on the current weather situation! The shell layer is 2-layers and waterproof and will keep you dry from the elements. Adding the insulation layer of 100g Thermogreen of 100% polyester will provide you with the warmth you need. If you need more warmth, try adding a base layer and/or another insulation or mid layer.

How well does the thermogreen layer hold up to washing? Is there a difference in the shell color between drifter grey and feather grey?

Asked by: A Wittenberg
Hiya, thanks for your question! It should hold up just fine as long as you follow the washing instructions (Machine wash your garment with a mild detergent on a gentle, cold-water cycle. Tumble dry on low or line dry.) Yes, the Drifter Grey has a dark grey liner and the Feather Grey has a grey/purple liner. Hope this helps!

Does it have any leather, down or wool? Would this be considered vegan?

Asked by: christelkemp
Hiya, thanks for your question! This parka is animal free. The insulation is synthetic, plus it is a completely sewn garment, so no glues were used. Hope this helps!

My question was about the shell, not the liner. Are the two grey coats the same color on the outside?

Asked by: A Wittenberg
Thanks for the question! Sorry for the confusion. Drifter Grey will be slightly darker than the Feather Grey option.
