DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, excellent quality I bought this a month ago after my boyfriend got the same one! It's perfect for the summer - so lightweight and folds up small. Exactly what I've been looking for

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for! This jacket is so perfect and exactly what I was looking for! It's lightweight, waterproof, stuffs in its own pocket, nice fit, and there are great color choices. It's easy to bring the rainshadow jacket just in case it rains or the wind picks up, or I need another layer while enjoying the view from the top. Perfect for travel too. It looks and performs better than any "stuffable" jacket I've seen or tried before. Plus I love the Patagonia quality and the MJ price!

Asked by: Michelle
Hiya Michelle, thanks for your question! You can machine wash it in cold water with a mild detergent. (No fabric softener or bleach.) You shouldn't need to wash very often, maybe a few times a year, even if you wear a lot. Hope this helps!
