Product Description Item No.   10281804

The Patagonia Women's Stormdrift 3-in-1 Parka is an insulated jacket that can stand up to rugged winter use. The long length of the outer jacket falls to mid-thigh, while the still-long-but-not-quite-so-much liner jacket falls just above that mid-thigh line. Was that too much? But you get the get the picture, if not, look at the picture. The outer shell is 100% waterproof, a 2-layer nylon fabric with a durable water repellent finish to prevent soaking in. An attached hood, zippered hand pockets, and a chest pocket secure the items you need whether you're in town or around the home. The liner jacket is all about the warmth, insulated with 100g of Thermogreen® to make this the warmest synthetic jacket available from Patagonia. Now that is saying something. Wear the two together, or each one separately and you've got a wide range of temperatures, weather, and seasons covered.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good I bought this item because of mostly positive reviews. It is a nice parka with a feminine silhouette, warm and waterproof but... I wish the front zipper was two-ways. My previous parkas have all had such zippers, so I was disappointed to find that this one does not. It creates more comfort when you can unzip a little bit on the bottom. I am contemplating if I should return it. The fit is fine, I am usually a size small and that is what I ordered. However, if you are more chetsy or have wide hips, then medium might be a better fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter in NYC Bought this for my daughter who's living in NYC. She LOVES it. She wanted the warmth of a longer jacket and the versatility of the 3-in-1is perfect to take her through more than just the winter. It is also dressier than her other down jackets, which is great for work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a "Tweener" I normally do not write reviews but knew I needed to after my search this year for warm winter jacket. I relied as much as could on reviews since a good parka can be costly. I needed a coat to keep my core body warm, while standing outside for at least an hour a day in the cold, so my Raynaud’s would flare up and then stay miserable for the remainder of the day. I tried on quite a few different Parkas this year to find one that I could wear for years to come. I tried the Patagonia Vosque 3-in-1 and Patagonia Tres 3-in-1 Parka as well as the Arcteryx Patera Parka. In all three of these parkas I was a “tweener”. I say “tweener” because I was right in-between a medium and a large. The Medium Vosque and Tres were both tight under the armpit and left no room in the waist area for layering sweaters (Arcteryx just left no room in the waist and wasn’t a 3-in-1). The larges were all just to large allover. I am 39 and am 5’6’ and approximately 140lbs. The Medium Patagonia Stormdrift 3-in-1 Parka is perfect! Not to tight anywhere and warm allover!!! The zippers on the wrists do jingle more than I would prefer but that is minor. I can manipulate the coat to accommodate many different weather conditions too. Each layer fits great on its own or all together. I am so glad I tried this parka and didn’t give up my search! I finally have a warm coat that fits wonderfully! Bonus… this coat is really cute! I have received many compliments already in just a few weeks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super duper well made I purchased this (unfortunately had to return, under layer too tight) but the product was phenomenal. Bummer is I think I'm just in between sizes in the coats. I ordered a medium and am 5"7, 150 lbs. Alas I will continue to dream of this beauty...

I am 5'3" and 145Ib. I am not sure which size is best for me between the medium and the large? I have a patagonia down vest that is a large  and is the perfect  size to fit sweaters under but overall a bit big. Any recommendation for what size to get?

Asked by: Charchar
Hiya Charchar, thanks for your question! This jacket tends to run on the larger side so I think the medium would work for you. Hope this helps!

What is the length of the jacket?

Asked by: Bestbag24
Thanks for the question! The Stormdrift has a center back length of 36 inches (for size Medium). Each size will vary by one inch. Hope this helps!

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

• Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.

• Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).
