The Patagonia Women's Simul Alpine Pant is a climbing pant for cold weather movement over rock, snow or ice. The 100% polyester stretch double weave gives you the durability and stretch needed to move easy over terrain that isn't so easy on your outerwear. The softshell fabric allows your lower half to breathe and not overheat while also blocking wind when not moving so quickly on the belay. Finished with a durable water repellent, it'll also shed light rain and snow. Grab the OppoSet™ adjustable closure to adjust the waist mid-climb and continue on with your pursuit.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from awful waist band I love most of the design of this pant. However, the adjustable waist on these pants, called "OppoSet" is terrible. I called TechSupport and still couldn't figure out how to adjust the waist. Neither of us could. Patagonia typically makes great products. I can't believe the design of their supposedly adjustable waist, called OppoSet, is something Patagonia is touting. It's awful to me and the Tech Guy who helped me. I loved everything else about the pants, but I sent them back due to the waist issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So flattering! I love these pants - it's hard to fit flattering, cute pants that will keep you warm while stomping the streets in the snow... these are it! Love them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK. I take size 8 and it fits but loose in hips/tight in thighs. I like the waist tightening gizmo so why do they have belt loops? The fabric is too thin and soft to keep warm in winter. I want a more durable fabric and this disappoints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very straight build construction I bought these so that I could layer warm leggings underneath and go hiking in the White Mountains. The first thing I noticed was how straight the construction. I purchased a size 6, and with being 40 inches at the widest point of my hips and 29 inches at the waist, I'll definitely need a belt. Any smaller to fit my waist and I wouldn't be able to get them past my thighs. If you have more a straight, athletic build you should be good to go. Otherwise, they seems to fit my bill perfectly. Flexible and lightweight, but water repellent. Precisely what I wanted for hiking in the snow. I dropped a star because the 1st time I was playing with a dog at the shelter I volunteer at and he was playing around and being a bit mouth and snagged a hole in the pants. I thought this surprising for a piece of clothing meant to be worn in rugged terrain. However, I contacted Patagonia and they said that it should be covered under warranty and I can send it in for repair. So they get 4 stars for that service rather than the 3 I would have given otherwise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for Bought these for a recent climbing trip and they worked really well - I like the drawstring bottoms and the durability. Fit as expected and I was able to layer comfortably.
