The Patagonia Women's Houdini Jacket is an ultralight, ultra-packable wind jacket. Made with 100% ripstop nylon fabric, this jacket is abrasion resistant and does a great job blocking out the wind. The slim fit will keep this layer out of your way, but you can easily fit a light to midweight layer underneath. Toss it on when you need some coverage, and stuff it into its own chest pocket when not in use. Clip it to your pack or harness and you won't even know it's there. You'll be glad to pull a Houdini® out of your hat if you get roped into an entangled situation.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, take anywhere jacket I've been wanting a houdini for a while for trail running and hiking and finally bit the bullet once the red color made it into rotation (red and orange are my go-to colors). I tend to get hot in windbreakers, so I love how thin this is (you can see slightly through to my clothes underneath). It's also super packable- can easily fit into my small hydration vest. The fit through the torso is nicely fitted, though the arms are a little loose and long. (And I don't have small arms/shoulders). This is fine from a movement perspective- I don't want my jacket to affect my movement while running. For reference, I got a M which is what I tend to wear in patagonia jackets and tops .I'm 5'6 with a pretty muscular build and usually wear a women's size 8. (Though sometimes I size up to a 10 on patagonia pants).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love all my Patagonia! This is my 2nd Houdini. I wear it often with base layers. I usually use it for walking. It is very light weight & comfortable. I love the hood & reflective logo. I wish it had more pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for anything I just bought it and love it so much that I am looking to buy other colors, too. I think this is the best windbreaker I ever bought. All available colors are so pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I bought it to keep with me if it is little colder than I expected or in case of rain. It's perfectI am 5'6"+ 110 and I usually wear a 4. I bought a small and I can wear a light sweater or down vest under it if necessary. With just a shirt it is cute and flattering. I bought the cobalt blue and I was worried about such a large print and it is large but the pattern doesn't jump out at you. It's beautiful, fun and practical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great packanle jacket! I own a couple of these and they are fantastic. They are minimally water resistant, and 100% great as a windbreaker. I would suggest sizing up, especially if you are on the taller side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ultralight jacket! This jacket was given to me as a gift right before heading off to cycle Death Valley NP in February. It was mid 60's-70's during the day and 40's at night. This jacket stayed with me the whole trip. It was perfect in the evening over a lightweight fleece to stave off the breeze. During the day, the jacket went on after a hill climb on the bike (cooler temps at higher elevation). My only wish is that they made a hoodless version jacket or a hood that can be zipped into the collar, as that would make it perfect for those cycling days. I live AK- so this jacket with the hood is perfect for those light rainy days. I recently traveled to D.C. and I wore it everywhere. I'm 5'7"/135lbs, and the M fits well as long as I wear only light layers underneath. The price point is little steep for this jacket, so I will be looking for another one on sale. That being said, it's still a well designed and versatile jacket. Thanks, Patagonia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and really not waterproof I really love how lightweight this jacket is. I know it doesn't claim to be waterproof but I wore it recently in a rainy 30K trail race and it hardly even seemed water resistant. It was lightly raining at the beginning of the race and then started raining harder after about 10K. I felt wet pretty much the whole time. I would wear this only for a little extra warmth for light wind protection and VERY light rain protection. It is amazing how small it packs down (I love that feature). I think it would be a great option to pack if you are running on a day when you think it isn't liekly to rain but want to have something just in case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth $99.00 This is a perfect example of buying on line without actually trying it on and examining the build quality Won’t do that again!!! Flimsy product

Hi , I am interested in Patagonia women Houdini jacket. Chest is 31in , waist 30in , hip 37 in. Small or medium size ?  Please advise. Thanks.

Asked by: Casey
Hi there Casey! Thanks for your question. Based on your measurements, I would go with a Medium. I always like sizing up on jackets so I will be comfortable if I wear a heavier sweater or hoodie underneath. Hope this helps!
