The Patagonia Women's Houdini Jacket is an ultralight, ultra-packable wind jacket. Made with 100% ripstop nylon fabric, this jacket is abrasion resistant and does a great job blocking out the wind. The slim fit will keep this layer out of your way, but you can easily fit a light to midweight layer underneath. Toss it on when you need some coverage, and stuff it into its own chest pocket when not in use. Clip it to your pack or harness and you won't even know it's there. You'll be glad to pull a Houdini® out of your hat if you get roped into an entangled situation.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and really not waterproof I really love how lightweight this jacket is. I know it doesn't claim to be waterproof but I wore it recently in a rainy 30K trail race and it hardly even seemed water resistant. It was lightly raining at the beginning of the race and then started raining harder after about 10K. I felt wet pretty much the whole time. I would wear this only for a little extra warmth for light wind protection and VERY light rain protection. It is amazing how small it packs down (I love that feature). I think it would be a great option to pack if you are running on a day when you think it isn't liekly to rain but want to have something just in case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth $99.00 This is a perfect example of buying on line without actually trying it on and examining the build quality Won’t do that again!!! Flimsy product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO light and easy to pack Super light jacket--it packs up into its own pouch and is easy to toss in a bag or pocket. Haven't tested its waterproofness yet but it definitely punches above its weight in terms of warmth and protection from wind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Lighter than what I was looking for. This is a really nice, very lightweight jacket. It fits well and has nice features, but was slightly more lightweight than what I was looking for; it's really a summer jacket. It would be a great jacket if all you're looking for is a way to cut the wind without any weight, but I was hoping for a little more warmth in the jacket I was looking for. Also, the fit is really nice, but if you did want to layer anything under it, I would suggest a size larger than what you're normally wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great running jacket for cooler temps I love this jacket! It’s so thin and light but really blocks the wind and keeps you warm on cold days. I live in New England and I wear this for running on cooler days. I’ve found it’s best for 30’s to 40’s range or maybe a bit warmer if it’s very windy. I’ve run with this several times with just a thin layer underneath and it was amazing. I got the medium even though I typically wear a small and I like the size for running. I don’t want it to be tight. This gives me some room to layer if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light jacket Light weight jacket provided great protection in the wind. Jacket kept me very warm in a short sleeved shirt. Easy to store in backpack. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very lightweight and great for winter runs I wore this out for a run with my dog about a week ago when it was 13 degrees and it kept me warm with only a base layer underneath. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Bought for trail running and its great. It's super lightweight, packs down into a tiny pocket that fits in the palm of my hand and has kept me warm in windy and cold conditions. It got a bit sweaty inside after a 7-hour trail run, but I never felt the moisture while I had it on. It dried super fast. Maybe a mesh panel or two might improve on the design (or maybe not, maybe that would just let cold in). Washes well and overall I'm happy with it. Based on the size guide, I'm a small, but it ended up being too small around my hips. I went with a medium and it fits perfectly with enough room to layer.

Hi , I am interested in Patagonia women Houdini jacket. Chest is 31in , waist 30in , hip 37 in. Small or medium size ?  Please advise. Thanks.

Asked by: Casey
Hi there Casey! Thanks for your question. Based on your measurements, I would go with a Medium. I always like sizing up on jackets so I will be comfortable if I wear a heavier sweater or hoodie underneath. Hope this helps!
