Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable I bought these primarily for hiking. I like how the legs tapered and would easily fit into hiking boots and socks. However they are so comfortable I wear them all the time, not just for hiking. These are my go to Saturday errand running pants. They are also very cool and water resistant.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weirdest fit ever- disappointed I had wanted these pants for almost a year and finally decided to buy them(high price tag and all). I love the light fabric, the elastic cuffs were nice and the stitching seemed reinforced. Why two stars(that was generous)? They are the worst fitting pants I have ever wore. I have no clue how they have continued to get such great reviews. I'm as average as they come. 5"5" 115-120lbs, regular build. I bought xsmall based on the reviews. The legs were way to short so that the only way I could wear them without looking off is if the cuffs we're pulled up. But the cuffs never stayed up. If I pulled the pants down a little to compensate for the short legs, id have saggy butt(so unappealing looking). And the butt space was huge and has such a low crotch! The waist is extremely high and doesn't fit flattering either- a pillow pocket under the waistband. Must I go on? The seams on the pockets almost have a ripply effect after wearing and the DWR repellent sucks(best way I can put it)-water was absorbed and didn't bead off in the slightest. These pants are literally just your plain polyester pants with an awful fit and a high price tag. I am utterly disappointed since I waited so long for them. Patagonia, I'm so disappointed. I'm hoping moosejaw will except them back for a refund because I'll be sick if I have them sitting around in my drawer for as much as they cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants - run large I bought these pants because I admired a friend wearing them - I am 5'6'' 125 and a small (my usual size) was way too big. Had to return and will try the next size down. Really nice light material, can be lounge pants or worn out and about!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking pants I wore these for an overnight trip in Joshua Tree in April. They were comfortable without being too baggy, and the tapered ankles and cuff make them more flattering than typical hiking pants. The smooth, stretchy waistband was comfortable under my pack's waist belt, and since the legs are a little loose, they seemed cooler to me than yoga pants, which can be hot under the desert sun. I was a little worried that the rough granite of JT would snag them, as the fabric doesn't seem terribly abrasion-resistant, but they held up fine. I also wear them on Saturdays to the farmers market. I'm 5'7", 112 lbs and the XS, my usual Patagonia size for bottoms, fits well. I bought the gray, but now I want the black too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic These pants are perfect. Great for a bunch of different activities from hiking to fishing to running to errands. And you look nice while doing these things. Wash well. Size down!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants but too short I love everything about these pants, but they are too short for my 5' 10" frame. They are definitely not 32" long. If they were as long as advertised, I would have kept them. Very comfortable material and waist band, but the cuff hits at mid calf on me and it is just too short. Probably closer to 28", not 32".

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs large I live in Central New York State, and I purchased these hiking pants because of the cut of the pants-- deer ticks were rampant last year at the nature center I work at, and I want pants that I can tuck into socks or into my hiking boots without issue. These are perfect for that! Long enough to reach my ankles and tight enough that I can wear socks on top. I originally bought a small because that's what the sizing guide recommended (I'm 5'4" and about 115lbs), but it was large enough to fit my boyfriend! I kept them for him, though-- turns out he likes them, too. :P I bought an extra small, and I wish I was wealthy enough to buy more than one pair! They're so comfortable and light!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy pants These are cute and comfortable pants to wear around the house or to run errands. The fit is nice, although I doubt they are 32” long as advertised.
