Product Description Item No.   10252810

The Patagonia Women's Down Sweater is a down insulated jacket for mid layer or outer layer warmth. The 800 fill power down combined with the 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell creates a lightweight, compressible jacket that warms your upper half. When the winter sun is at it's highest and you're too hot for a coat, tuck it into it's own internal pocket and clip it to your harness or hide it away into your pack for later. No need for an extra stuff sack and it'll be ready to keep you warm once the sun drops. Two hand pockets toast up your digits when chilling around the fire, or zip a pair of gloves inside. Worn alone or under a hardshell, the new contoured fit and longer hem will have you cozy for the whole winter.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for backpacking Love love love this coat. I bought it in an XS, I'm 5ft 2 in and about 100 pounds. I still have room for layering clothes but fits well enough to also throw a rain jacket over it and still be comfortable This jacket fits great, looks great, it's very light but super warm and love that it packs into self in an inside zipper. Perfect for backpacking. Love the blue color, so bright and vibrant but should hold up nicely even in the woods without showing too much dirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Warm & Snuggly Not only is Patagonia en incredible company for their commitment to the entire life cycle of their products, but they make incredible products that do exactly what you expect and need them to do. Yes they are pricey but well worth it when its the only jacket you will ever need to purchase. And occasionally, thanks to the awesome, french-kissing folks at Moosejaw, you can get it on sale. This down jacket is perfect for those cold mountain nights and mornings to the bear can to make a cup of coffee. It's very compact (folding into its own breast pocket) and lightweight. I would leave for the backcountry without it in my pack. And! I'm not leaving my house in the front country during the colder months with out it either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love this jacket! Bought this jacket a month ago and love it. Bought it in the Drumfire Red which is kind of a Rust color! I had seen this jacket a couple months previously and was trying to justify and when I saw it on sale decided to order. Very glad I did as I love this jacket!

Is this down sweater machine washable?

Asked by: Grace44
Hiya Grace44, thanks for your question! Yes, you can wash this item in cold water in a front-loading machine with a gentle detergent. (You can find specific detergents made specifically for washing down items.) Machine dry on no to low heat (may take a few cycles) with two to three clean tennis balls added to the dryer to restore fluff. DO NOT bleach, iron or use fabric softener. Hope this helps!
