Product Description Item No.   10252804

The Patagonia Women's Down Sweater Hoody is a winter jacket for technical use such as winter hiking or skiing to casual outings like backyard campfires. The outer shell features an updated ripstop pattern to increase durability, while still remaining as lightweight as previous models and a durable water repellent finish to deter light rains or snows. Windproof on the outside, the 800 fill power down also traps warm air to keep you insulated throughout. The jacket compresses down small, into it's own chest pocket in fact, so you can bring it along on any trip that may potentially turn chilly. Forget your hairstyle and pull up the hood to keep your ears toasty for the rest of the day. I'm sure your hair will forgive you later.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for a New Zealand winter! Sent this to my daughter in New Zealand and she is really happy with it! Gave it only 4 stars because I don't know how warm it is; she hasn't tried it outside yet. We are always pleased with Patagonia quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived Iceland Weather for a week in this beauty This is my first Patagonia jacket purchase ever and it was for my trip to Iceland where the weather was expected to be 30-40 degrees F (but feels like 20's with windchill). This jacket kept me warm and dry through all my hikes and walks through the rain, wind and snow of Iceland. Best of all, it is very lightweight, not bulky at all and allowed me to move flawlessly. The adjustable hoodie was also great in the wind as it stayed on my head. I would recommend this jack to anyone based on its ability to keep you warm, dry and in motion. On an extremely cold night, i was even able to wear a parka over the jacket. BUY BUY BUY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute & Warm :) I just bought this a few weeks ago and wear it all the time. I was looking for something to wear over my outfits so I could walk to my classes in the cold and snowy weather. This jacket not only is warm, but a has a really good style and look to it. I bought the grey one with the teal lining and have gotten several compliments on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality I really wanted to love this jacket. It has a trim fit and feels very warm. Also bonus that it packs down into it's own pocket.Unfortunately I am between sizes in Patagonia, L is huge on my and the medium is too tight in my shoulders. Great quality jacket , just not for me :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm! I bought this jacket for my daughter who is in school on the East Coast. We originally bought an REI down jacket thinking it was comparable. What I didn't realize was that the fill was different. The REI jacket was a 650 fill and the Patagonia is 800 fill. It makes a difference! For California the 650 might be ok, but not for an East Coast winter. Glad Moosejaw had the jacket available, REI did not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and comfortable Light, beautiful, lovely coat. Wish Patagonia made this longer. Not a deep winter coat for the Northeast, but otherwise perfect.

Does anyone know what temperature this is rated to? Could it be used as an outerlayer for Alaska in February? Or is something warmer going to be necessary? (Assume I wouldbe having a few layers beneath that are weather appropriate).

Asked by: crj1036
Hiya, thanks for your question. While this isn't a "winter jacket" or parka, you can wear this as an outerlayer, Warmth is different for each person's own body temperature, so I would definitely layer accordingly. Hope this helps!

Is this the most recent version, with the longer, rounded hem in back?

Asked by: Fishstix
Hiya Fishstix, thanks for your question! This jacket does have a slight rounded hem in the back, but it looks pretty natural. It hasn't been changed for the past few seasons, so even previous season colors will fit the same. Hope this helps!
