The Patagonia Women's Dimensions Jacket is a windproof jacket for alpine climbing, mountaineering, ski touring, and other high-output activities in the cold. The jacket uses 3-layer, GORE-TEX® WINDSTOPPER® fabric to block the wind while maintaining breathability and stretch. A durable water repellent finish provides water-resistance so you can flick the rain or snow off the fabric surface and continue on your route like it didn't even happen. Panels at the underarms are made of stretch-woven soft shell, for increased breathability where you are likely heating up the most. The regular fit allows for layers underneath on cold days with off-shoulder seams and lifted hand pockets that won't get in the way of your pack. Those hand pockets are pretty handy, not only do they hold onto your stuff, they feature mesh on the inside, so you can open them up and they'll act as vents to release excess heat. Protection from the wind and air flow, sounds like the best of both worlds to me.
