DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Is this jacket warm enough for snow-boarding?

Asked by: whit7
Thanks for the question! The Torrentshell Parka is just a longer rain jacket. If you wear an insulated fleece or windproof jacket underneath, then you could get away with it. You might be better off just getting an insulated snowboarding jacket - such as the Rubicon. I included a link below for you to check out. Hope this helps! http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Patagonia-Men-s-Rubicon-Jacket_10312907_10208_10000001_-1_
