DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid running shorts! I picked up these shorts on sale to try them out and got them in time to run a half trail marathon in them the following weekend. They are comfortable, I love the pockets, and the legs slits. I typically run trails in The North Face better than naked, but these are a solid short and I will probably pick up another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I bought this a month ago when it was on sale - and so glad that I did. Initially I was a little hesitant about the "side pockets" but they actually work really well. There are two envelope pockets, one on each side, and a zip pocket on the rear. The envelope pockets work surprisingly well. Shorts are also comfortable and don't stink after a long run. All-in-all I really like them and plan on getting another pair this spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shorts for the long run! I pulled these out of the package and completed a 34 mile trail run. They are without question the most comfortable and useful shorts I own. The side pockets are big enough for my cell phone, I lock away my ID, credit card and car key in the rear zipper pocket, and put gels in the hip pockets. Everything rides comfortably with no bounce or sagging. Perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from low rider long training runs in the LA summer leaves your shorts drenched, so i was considering these for their quick drying claims. unfortunately i never got to test out this feature. immediately, upon trying them on i realized they fit the same as the strider pro in both M and L - the liner is just not long enough. it doesn't extend down far enough to give a male's anatomy adequate space. they were only comfortable if i wore them extremely low on the hips. returned these and bought the north face better than naked, and voila! perfect fit.
