DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love. Love. Love. I bought a pair for weekend backpacking trips and trail runs. I have been extremely pleased after two weekend trips (30+ miles each) and a few trail runs. They are light and not constraining. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the liner but I don't really notice it. Only drawback I can see is only having the one inside back hip pocket but I have hip belt pockets on my pack when hiking and don't carry much when running. Great so far - will have to report back later on durability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really lightweight, no frills Super lightweight and dry really quickly. I even use them as swim trunks when I'm packing light. The inside pocket is just okay, fits a key or a gel, but doesnt have any way to 'close' the top of the pocket like a zipper. I've never had anything pop out, but its just good to know. Also having an inner pocket makes it a little more difficult to access. I wear compression shorts underneath so I cant vouch for whether the support is good or not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic running shorts Good shorts for shorter runs or races. The fit and length are good. Only one pocket so not great for longer runs when storage would be an issue. Also the shorts are gray and light gray, no yellow stripe as pictured.
