DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for use as a layer, but not alone Bought this to be a super warm active puffy, but it needs to be coupled with more layers for that. I'm not usually cold, but with just this jacket and an active hoodie underneath it was a bit too cold to sit around at 30F. My old puffy would have had me roasting. It's helmet compatibility is great, and has ample pockets to organize and loose things. The pit zips work great, and so far the shell has held up pretty well to some rough crack climbing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Great jacket. I really liked the material inside and out. It has a nice soft feel. I'm 5'10 175 with an athletic build. I got a medium and it was snug under the arms. I ended up not keeping it for that. But otherwise would have loved it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat ever! This is the coat I've been searching for for many years. I work in NYC and in and out of the subway and on the bike several times a day. I need a waterproof, windproof coat that's warm enough to be out and not too hot when I'm in. This is it, couldn't be happier. I'm 6'1" 175 and ended up going with the large. The medium fit snug, but maybe a tad too snug under my arms and around the hips. When it's really cold I put my nano vest on underneath and I'm good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for cold winter I bought this just before our trip to Hokkaido in February to see the ice and snow festivals and I'm so happy I did. Brought 2 jackets but never used the other because this jacket did an excellent job in keeping me warm in 5 to 20 F snowy and sometimes breezy weather. It is also nice with a soft shell and not noisy and compressible to fit in a backpack. With 6 pockets it will accomidate all the things you may want to have. A definite must have for little more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket ever for cold, wet weather!!! This jacket includes every feature one could ever need for staying comfortable in a wide range of conditions. 3-way adjustable hood, lots of external and internal pockets, hem cinch cord, pit zips for ventilation, windproof, waterproof, and lightweight. I literally tried a dozen jackets before I finally found this one and I couldn’t be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not warm. If you expect to be kept warm by the Stretch Nano Storm Jacket... don't go out when the temps dip below 30 degrees F. Tried it on, fits true to size, step outside, no warmth. I didn't have a chance to test the waterproofing as I have returned for the Patagonia Jackson Glacier Down Jacket– real warm.
