The Patagonia Men's Simple Synchilla Jacket is a midweight fleece jacket for trail or town. The Simple Synchilla is comprised of two different types of fleece, the body and under arms use recycled polyester Synchilla fleece, while the shoulders, collar, and tops of arms uses Polartec Thermal Pro, a polyester twill fleece. This provides a combination of durability, warmth, and performance so you can wear it as a stand alone in the cool fall or under a hard shell in the cold of winter. The two hand pockets and single chest pocket all zipper shut to secure items. A regular fit that falls to the hip provides a classic look wherever you end up throughout the day.

FEATURES of the Patagonia Men's Simple Synchilla Jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super soft and warm I had a pull over synchilla jacket with a zipper to neck, but this allows me to unzip even more if needed. I like the dual fabric colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patagonia Mens' Simple Synchilla Jacket I was in a crunch for my son's 14th birthday. He made the comment he wanted a Patagonia jacket... I just put that in the search and it took me to MooseJaw where I clicked and it was shipped. He loved it. it is lightweight but still warm. He doesn't like big and bulky and this coat was simply perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect non bulky jacket Got this for my 16 year old son. He needed a new winter coat, but didn't want a puffer style coat. He already had a north face, and didn't want another one, so since I have a Patagonia fleece myself and love it, I got him one. He loves the weight of it. He says its a little warmer then the normal north face, which is fine for Buffalo winters...he is 6 foot and about 135 lbs. I got a Large and it fits great. He has long monkey arms, and the length is perfect. Another nice feature is that the pockets are lined with fleece,,,since he never wears

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Fit, Very Warm Excellent fleece for temperatures between 40 to 60 degrees. Fits slightly wide at the waist with no drawstrings to reign it in, but otherwise decent fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic fleece for my basic b****es Simple full zip fleece with hand pockets and one chest pocket. Not super light or tech-y, but it fully serves its purpose. It's an all-around fleece- grabbing coffee or layered under a shell while sailing or pit stops on day hikes or skiing frozen rivers. Simplicity breeds contentment. The only thing I did not like was the absence of a drawcord on the bottom hem. I fixed that, but it would be a good addition to this simple jacket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This jacket sheds. After several wash and dry cycles this still jacket sheds fleece fibers. I bought a red version so I feel that magnifies the effect. ,,,,I do not feel that I am able to wear this product out in social settings. I have resorted to only wearing it during activities such as hiking or a skiing base layer for colder days (which means the inside of my shell gets loaded up with red fibers). The jacket is also starting to pill. ,,,,I was disappointed in Patagonia, who I consider to put out high end items at high end prices.
