The Patagonia Men's R2 Jacket is a tech fleece jacket for midlayer warmth in the backcountry. Climbing or hiking and even the in-town rest periods, the Polartec® Thermal Pro® fleece is thick enough to stay warm when the temps drop. Wear it alone on mild days or layer up and put a shell over when the wind, rain or snow just won't let up. The side panels and cuffs feature Polartec® Power Grid™ fleece for breathability and extra stretch right where you need it most. Three zippered pockets hide snacks and candy from your hiking and climbing partners, so you've always got something to nibble upon.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love Mossejaw but didn't love this I purchased this jacket from the Woodward location, the employees there were amazing as always, very knowledgeable. I tried to love this jacket but the fit for me was just not working, it was too tight in the sleeves and had to wear particular shirts under it to fit decent. I own and love the R4 and an R3 but this didnt work well so it has to go back unfortunately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great feel and general cut Tried this on for a bit at the DC location. Very soft material and I personally like the look of it as well. It's definitely cut to be very form fitting. I generally wear a mens small across the board, but this jacket in a small I found to be very tight in the armpits. Unfortunately a medium was a bit too big. Liked the longer sleeves, wish there were some thumb holes and a hoodie version of this. Not a fan of the "grid" type fleece in the r3 hoodie.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not really a mans jacket My wife has the same jacket and it looks great on her. The texture of the jacket is a little too fluffy for a man as when you have it on you feel like you have feathers. Patagonia sizes typically run on the small side in which the XL didn't fit too well on me......I'm a big boned guy, not over weight. Anyway, cool jacket for a woman but not for a man.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Fleece - HORRIBLE sizing I'm 6'4 , 210 with the wingspan of a condor. Sleeves are a tad long but that's ok. The torso extends 2" below anything I have. Way too long. Looks like a dress. Wish I could return. Not at all consistent with other Patagonia. Well made fleece but sizing poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all-round jacket I've been wearing R2s for over 10 years, and just bought my third R2. I wear an R2 all winter long because the temperature range goes from about 55 to 20. Add a shell of an R4 and you are good to well below zero. The R2 is comfortable, light feeling, and flexible. The design has changed and generally improved over the years, but the simple basic fact is that this jacket covers 90% of my winter needs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice fleece but didn't fit I am 6 ft 188 lbs. Tried the Large, which should have been the right size, okay in waist, too tight in shoulders and collar. Ordered the XL, now good in shoulders and collar, but so long in the body that it extends below the bottom of every shell I have. Not good for layering. Great mid weight fleece, comfortable, nice pockets otherwise. XL measures 31 inches in the back, compared to 27-28 inches for most comparable garments. Would be okay if wearing alone, but its for layering.
