Do you ever wish you could take the feeling of sitting in front of a fire on a cold night with you wherever you go? With the Patagonia Men's Insulated Better Sweater Hoody you can do that and still look like a sane person (since you won’t be carrying around a fire but will instead be wearing a comfy hoody). Insulated with 60 g Thermogreen®, (90% recycled polyester) you’ll get an extra boost of warmth from knowing that your hoody has been made responsibly. For added protection, there’s an internal windflap that will keep wind from snatching your body heat away from you and an insulated hood for when the temps really dip. Made with flatlock-stitched seams, you’ll get all the aforementioned warmth without a lot of bulk. Which is good because, who likes bulk? Not I. Not. I.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy and seems well made Recently purchased. Weather has been cold enough (nothing lower than 60° so far) to fully appreciate. Seems to be working as advertised! Fits like a true sizeLarge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm I have had the jacket for a month now and absolutely love it. It is very soft and warm. The hood is a great addition for chilly, windy days. This is my daily jacket and all around it has been great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Oversized Shoulda been just right but both too large for size... probably due to accommodating bulk. Fine material and wind breaking insulation. Too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Great sweater, super warm, looks cool, highly recommend. Goes with any color scheme. Can wear with jeans or shorts. Easy to travel with. The pockets are nice along with the fabric

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remember When Han stuffed Luke into the Tauntaun? This thing is warm. I thought I might go a size up to fit a sweater under this but I'm glad I stuck with my size because the sweater would be tremendous overkill. The construction is impeccable and feels almost indestructible. The insulated better sweater hoodie upholds Patagonia's reputation for quality. The exterior sweater part is extremely tightly knitted and unlikely to come apart; my dog loves to jump and punch (gotta love a boxer) and ripped out my jacket lining last year and I'm not worried about the Patagonia sweater at all. If something did happen, there's always Patagonia's guarantee but I've never had to have them fix any of my outerwear because it's so resilient. The better sweater material holds up in a blizzard too, and I'm excited to see how well the wind-flap works in New England.
