The Patagonia Men's Houdini Jacket is a ultralight jacket for weather resistance when moving fast. Running through the mountains, climbing up rock walls, trips where weight matters. The 100% nylon ripstop fabric has been finished with a durable water repellent coating, blocking wind and resisting moisture so you can concentrate on the adventure and not the gray clouds in the sky. The slim fit features a hip length with a full length zipper that regulates temperature when necessary. A single chest pocket allows the waist to be completely clear for your harness or hipbelt while still holding onto a small item, such as a granola bar or headlamp. Not only that, the whole jacket stuffs into the chest pocket when you're not wearing it, saving space in your pack, or just clip it to your harness. Elastic at the cuffs prevent drafts and a single adjustment at the back of the hood keeps the hood from flying off in the wind and clearing peripheral vision.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Addition Live in Michigan and we have some crisp, cool, windy mornings that turn into warm sunny days. I commute by bike and wanted something light and packable to not weigh down the pack...and this was the perfect addition to the jacket collection. Wearing it over a fleece provides solid breathable warmth, protects from light sprinkles, and is easily packed up or deployed just in case the need arises. It goes with me everywhere I travel because it's small and only takes up a few oz's. I am a thin 5'10" 150lb guy with slightly longer arms, and the medium (I'm usually a medium in jackets but a small in t-shirts and button ups) fits great. I can comfortably fit a fleece or lightly insulated later underneath. I originally purchased the pullover version which was cool, but decided that for its purpose (quickly deploying etc) the hooded full zip was way more useful. Definitely go full-zip (and the forums tend to agree). It provides some added protection for like an oz. It does tend to billow a bit in the wind but it hasn't bothered me too much. As a side, the pocket is pretty durable and i can fit a full set of keys in there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Light Jacket! Have had this jacket for about half a year now, and I took it with me on my Smoky Mountains hiking trip during the spring. The jacket was perfect to hike with around the many waterfalls i visited, and repels all the water that splashes off the rocks! It is so light, that you barley notice its even there sometimes. It also packs into its chest pocket, that you can hold in the palm of your hand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good wind and rain protection! Really good wind and rain protection in a jacket the weighs next to nothing. And it packs into such a small area that I can take it almost anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Seems to breath a bit better than th older style. I really like the full zip for heat management. Only thing that would make it better would be a back pocket as I use this a lot for bike riding.
