The Patagonia Men's Down Sweater Hoody is a down insulated jacket for whenever your adventures get chilly. The baffles are packed with 800 fill power goose down, providing incredible warmth at a super light weight. The down is protected by a 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell, which is also coated with a durable water repellent finish for water resistance in a light rain or snow. When a little wind comes sweeping along the trail, pull the hem cords from inside the hand pockets to protect your lower back and cinch the cord at the back of the hood to prevent it flying off your dome. The whole jacket packs down into it's own chest pocket once the weather is free of wind and cold, so you can clip it to your pack or harness. Puffy coats are better than puffy eyes.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Super warm and fits well. Water resistant coating seems to work well thus far. However, I have a friend whose jacket has seemed to lost its water repellant qualities after about a year. Sleeve cuffs are very comfortable. Love how light it is. Doesn't even feel like you're wearing a jacket. I imagine I would be warm in the single digits with a sweater underneath. The hood also fits well too. I'm 6'1" 195lbs and the large fits perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but Not Great Patagonia needs to make their jackets American size, not European. I wear an XL with every other jacket or shirt except Patagonia. This thing was too tight, and I'm not sure if Patagonia is simply trying to skimp on cost. But as expensive as their jackets are, this thing should fit perfectly. Also, while the jacket is warm for the size, can we update the shell a bit Patagonia? This thing rips at the drop of a dime. Don't even think of getting it near a fence or a flame. Let's update the jacket some, and get a shell that is firmer and one that doesn't melt if you're roasting marshmallows. Aside from that the jacket is warm and thin, making it very portable. It just greatly needs an update to address the issues mentioned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey, but great jacket. Great weight, nice packability, and very warm if used right.,,Makes great mid-layer in deep cold (wear anything with long sleeves under to block up the gap around the cuffs), and it gets even better with a wind/rain breaker above. ,,my only concern is with the thin material. This updated model boasts a hardier fabric, but I still don't trust it even walking near a bush. Sitting around a fire? forget about that; wear a protective outer-layer for all things camping. Def has a nice fit and form too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Jacket that I own I bought this jacket recently and it has been a great purchase. As the weather is already getting cold, this jacket keeps me very warm, even though its so light weight. Patagonia made a very high quality and durable jacket. I am a tall guy with long arms, but the sleeves still fit me well. I'm glad I bought this jacket and I would recommend it to anyone who's thinking about buying a down jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Went Back For More I bought this coat for my husband after buying him the Patagonia Nano Hoody just one month ago. He loved the Nano so much that I purchased this one for him for Christmas. After living up north his whole life, my husband has collected several jackets. But, in really cold temps, none of them do the job. I decided it was time to invest in a real coat. Everyone recommended Patagonia and Moosejaw had the best price for the Nano. He loves how warm it is and how it looks on. It is his new go-to-coat. One month later, I was looking to buy this one and found that the Nano had gone on sale even more. Even though they don't price adjust, I decided to go out on a limb and email customer service. They were so wonderful!! They emailed me the very next morning after already crediting my account! I have never experienced customer service like that! I e-mailed them a thank you and heard back in 10 minutes. I felt like I was e-mailing a friend. Immediately, I ordered this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Balls deep on this one Bought this as a Winter coat for daily use and cross country and downhill skiing. I bought the hooded sweater and am glad I did. It serves both as a hood(duh) but also adds neck protection in the freezing wind and sleet of Michigan. ,,,,Sporty yet dressy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fear not, great purchase. I bought this jacket a month ago and have had it on two backpacking excursions. It performed as expected and is insanely comfortable. Only issue is that upon arrival there were no baby snakes in the packaging as promised. :) Long live the Jaw!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm for being so lightweight I do love this jacket; worn it ice climbing as well as on Rainier. The only reason I gave it a 4 v. 5 was because I have had a few of the down feather come out. Only a few of them, but if you pull them, more can follow.
