Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart looking sweater Bought this a month ago and it was still cool at that time. Very comfortable to wear it then, though a little too warm as the weather got warmer. Can hardly sit when it gets cool again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and fits great! Works great to keep you warm on cool spring nights! I have had trouble in the past finding a sweater that fits well and doesn't have too much excess fabric. This Patagonia sweater fits very well and feels great too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE!!! I bought this sweater last month for my husband. I have to say that Patagonia designers outdid themselves with this AMAZING color combo. They've had a wonderful selection of "heathered" colors for a while now, but putting these 2 together is ingenious. My husband and I have been loyal fans of the Better Sweater for many years. They have a ladies version too. It's tough to beat the look; the quality and the warmth. It has the classy look of wool, but constructed of polyester so it wears well in all cold weather conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Sweater This is my favorite sweater. Casual enough to wear to work, on the trail, or just about anywhere. Definitely runs on the larger side - I initially ordered a large, but had to return for a medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality Great fit, comfortable, good quality pull-over. I originally purchased a NF quarter-zip but it was too baggy, this one fits closer/slimmer and the sleeves have elastic which is nice.

Is there a Patagonia jacket that comes in XL tall?

Asked by: Lisa105
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, Patagonia does not offer any jackets with a "tall" option. I do have an North Face Apex Bionic Jacket that comes in XL Tall. I included a link below for you to check out. Also, Carhartt offers a "tall" option for almost all of their jackets. Hope this helps a little! http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_The-North-Face-Men-s-Apex-Bionic-2-Jacket_10309666_10208_10000001_-1_

What temperature range is this jacket good for?

Asked by: Emily
Hiya Emily, thanks for your question. This item doesn't have a temperature rating because warmth is really based personal preference, activity level, weather conditions and / or clothing layers, etc. For most people, the Better Sweater is a great mid-layer. It is warm fall or spring option, or if you layer with a good baselayer, it can be warm enough for mildly cold conditions. Additionally, it can we worn as a baselayer under a waterproof jacket in bad weather. It is a versatile piece overall. Hope this helps!

I am looking to get this for my boyfriend. He is 6’4’’, 215 lbs. What size would be best for him?

Asked by: Sarah
Hey Sarah! Your boyfriend is a lucky duck! As far as which size would work for him, it all depends on his measurements. According to the size chart (right below the Q and A's on this page), he might fall between a large and extra large. I would try to get his measurements and see how they stack up to the size chart. Hope this helps!

I'm looking to buy the quarter-zipphbeil as a gift for my son. He's 6'3'' and 150 pounds. Would the size M be long enough in the sleeves and torso?

Asked by: springthing
Hey there, Thanks for the question. Patagonia brand items tend to run a bit on the small side, especially in regards to length in the arms and torso, so I would definitely suggest sizing up to a Large for your son. In case you needed them, I have included the measurements for a size Medium below: Sleeve Length (Center Back to bottom) - 35" Center Front Length (from neck seam) - 24.75" Center Back Length (from neck seam) - 28" for the medium.

Hi I’m 5’10 165 lbs and a 31” waist and I like my clothes to be on the slimmer side, what size should I get?

Asked by: yuyu
Hey there, Thank yuyu for reaching out to usus! You've given me a little info....but I might need some more. With just the info you've given me, I would say the size you should get is a medium. But, I'd double check your chest size. The medium chest size is good for 38-40". For the additional sizes, I'd peruse the size guide! It's nuzzled twixt the size drop down and the color drop down. Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.

I am 5'6'' and 155 pounds. Would you recommend I get a size Small or size Medium? Thank you in advance.

Asked by: TomR
Hiya TomR, thanks for your question! Its better to determine sizing by your measurements rather than height and weight, however, based on the information you provided I would suggest a size small. Refer to the size guide at the bottom of this page to confirm. There is a shortcut link to the size guide under the drop down size menu. Hope this helps!

Does this pill? I got him something similar last year from Eddie Bauer and it pills HORRIBLY. Granted, he wears it pretty much everyday this time of year  like one would a coat. Pilling is a SERIOUS pet peeve

Asked by: MoMaS
Hiya MoMaS, thanks for the question! I haven't heard any complaints about this pullover pilling but I have seen it mentioned on a blog. I assume over time, it is a possibility but with proper care and washing, you shouldn't have a problem. It can be machine washed but I would take extra precautions and wash it on the gentle cycle and/or wash it inside a pillow case. Hope this helps!
