Product Description Item No.   10252802

The Patagonia Girls' Down Sweater is a windproof down jacket for school, hiking, and cold weather camping with the family. The polyester mini-ripstop shell is durable and resistant to tears, windproof, and treated with a durable water repellent for water resistance. Less fears over a light rain or snow. The shell also protects the 600 fill power duck down tucked inside the baffles to provide loads of warmth around her small, but strong body. The baffles shape the jacket to give a little bit of a feminine look and a draw cord at the hem pulls it in close to block drafts. Complete with a Hand-me-down ID label, it's ready for the next kid. Dress the whole family in Down Sweaters, keep them warm for the winter and you can probably get a super cute holiday card out of it.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toasty, but too fragile The first day my daughter wore this to school she came home with a rip on the arm. She said a classmate brushed her with their pencil. I questioned her and the teachers aide and they both affirmed it was a brush and not a stab. She came home with down coming out of the rip. I know the outer shell is stop tear, but with the way it tore and I am afraid it will keep tearing and/or loss insulation as time goes on. I was hoping to get at least two years of wear out of this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Warm Coat I'm loving my lightweight down jacket! I'm a 5'2" female that weighs about 130 and the XXL fits great - I was slightly hesitant about buying a children's jacket after reading a review that it was not made as well as the women's version but it is definitely a well made jacket. My first wear was out cross country skiing in the snow and it kept me very warm

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing jacket for kids My kids have heavy down jackets but they never want to wear them. They happily will wear this jacket every day because it keeps them warm and is so lightweight - no arguments, which has genuinely transformed our life as we get out the door in the morning. It's not warm enough for really cold activities (e.g., watching a football game outside in 20 degree weather). But kids are so active at school that with a fleece underneath it's fine for >90% of school days in Boston. It's expensive but I have not found any comparable product for kids from another company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket I am an 5 feet and 45 kg adult and this girl's size Large fits me perfectly. I chose the purple color because I think it's not so childish for me :P However, I don't know why child's version is only 600-fill and adults version is 800-fill. Anyway, this is good for me, because I can put on a venture jacket to add extra warmness when it's extremely cold otherwise, the jacket on its own is very fashionable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Cute, Yet Practical These down vests for girls are super cute, warm, and practical. The colors are fantastic (purchased two for six year old and eleven year old). I do think the down should be of better quality, like the adult version, because these are the type of jackets that are kept as hand me down, or pass it forward items. Still, one of the kind on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moontree Blue We prurchased this for our middle schooler. She is extremely picky and only wears what she feels is "in". She loves, loves, loves this coat and gets many compliments on it. She can compress it enough for her locker, or into her cheerleading bag

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daughter's Favorite Jacket My daughter is fussy about her clothes, even her outer layers. She doesn't like to wear bulky jackets but needs a warm jacket for Colorado cold days. She loves this one!! It keeps her cozy warm and isn't bulky, so we are both happy!!
