DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best climbing packs. I recently purchased this pack and it is by far the best cragging pack I have ever owned! It fits all my gear and then some. I recently took it on a multi-pitch climb and it was never a hassle even while I was leading hard trad. If you purchase this pack you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close enough to perfect Bought this as a sport crag pack that could double as a travel bag. Fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't look out of place at an airport. I think it's a lot more spacious than the advertised size; it can hold as much gear as I normally shove into a 40L. The back access panel is awesome. It opens up into a bath tub style, and the straps move out of your way. The padding is sweet cause it protects your bag and maintains the shape even when not full. Shoulder straps are nice and comfortable. The webbing belt, eh. Thus far, this is the only knock on this bag for me. The hip belt is uncomfortable and digs into your lower back, but I don't think it was meant for real heavy use anyway. So glad this bag has side pockets, and the top access is great too. The zipper did give me caution, but I know Patagonia has great customer service and an awesome warranty, so I went for it. Thus far, the back panel zipper has been totally bomber. Oh, and it fits a 60m rope, shoes, draws, water bottle and an extra layer with some room to spare.
