Product Description Item No.   10252758

The Patagonia Atom Sling is a sling pack for traveling. The single strap is comfortable like a backpack, but with more convenient access to the items you have inside. The main compartment features internal pockets for organization, while the second pocket secures smaller items. The 3D spacer mesh at the backpanel and shoulder strap wicks moisture and dries quickly for all day comfort as you take on the city. If you're hitting the town on the old two-wheeler, strap on the waist belt for extra security and less movement. Your phone stays right where you can see it in the zippered strap pouch, making answering phone calls much faster. If your jacket doesn't quite fit inside with your other gear, use the outside straps to secure it to the outside of the pack and off you go.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag! I take this thing everywhere. It's perfect for a jaunt around town, taking the dog to the park, or a longer hike. It's my favorite bag to use when traveling, perfect for carrying around an airport--large enough to stash the essentials for the day but not at all cumbersome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spacious Patagonia Atom Sling! Bought this bag because multiple people have told me it's their go-to travel bag. So far I like it a lot! Pros: -It swings around easily so you can wear it in front of you while traveling. -It looks small from the outside, but holds a tremendous amount of stuff! Seriously; it's way bigger inside than it appears on the outside. It's like magic. -Durable fabric/waterproof -Love the 2 external cords & clips. I often use these to hold items that I want easy access to, such as my rain jacket. Cons: - The front cell phone pocket isn't big enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy S7. This is really disappointing, as I like to have easy but secure access to my cell at all times for quick picture taking, gps-ing and such. Because it's soo small, I mostly use this pocket for my ID and my lipbalm and put my cell phone in the main pocket. - No external water bottle holder. It would be nice if there were a mesh water bottle pocket on the right side. Instead I end up putting my water bottle inside the sling, which takes up a significant amount of room. - I would have liked a color option that was all gray with no accent colors. -Not really packable, but it's heavy duty and not meant to be packable, so not really a con, per say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for hiking I bought this item for hiking on day trips with my pup and it's perfect! I love the sling and it slides right around for easy access inside!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size! I originally got this to use while biking, but liked it so much I use it every day now. It's a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it really does fit all the essentials (I had to downgrade what I was carrying from my last purse, but I was carrying too much unnecessary stuff anyway). For size reference, this bag fits a moleskin or standard paperback book perfectly in the back pocket. It fits comfortably, seems sturdy, and I get a ton of compliments on it too. My only complaint is that it isn't waterproof or water resistant, which would be really nice, but it does dry pretty quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bag Nice bag couldn't find anything wrong with it, just wish the front pocket was slightly larger so my phone could fit in. Function and Style are both great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sling I bought this sling about a month ago and took it with me everywhere while I was volunteering at a camp for a month. Wherever I went so did my sling. It was the perfect bag to carry all of my essentials, such as my water bottle, extra clothes, deodorant (since I was in the kitchen washing dishes) , and any other carry-on items. This sling was just an amazing buy and even back at home it is the perfect grab and go bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect small bag I look far and wide for a perfect small bag. This new Atom Sling bag is slightly bigger than the old model. The benefit is that the large I phone fits in the small top compartment. It stays well on the shoulder. It is a great bag.

Could the front pocket hold an iphone 7?

Asked by: Niccole
Thanks for the question! The front strap pocket will fit a standard iPhone 5, 6, and 7. It will not fit the 6 or 7 plus. Also, you will most likely have to remove your phone case in order to make it fit. I hope this helps a little!

Will this be able to fit a gopro pole that's 13.3 inches long x 5.7 inches wide?

Asked by: Jason
Thanks for the question! The Atom Sling has dimensions of 14.5 x 9.5 x 5.5. Might take a little maneuvering, but your GoPro pole should fit inside. Hope this helps!

Will the Patagonia Atom Sling hold an iPhone 6 in the cross-over strap?

Asked by: Scout
Hey there, The front pocket on this measures about 6" by 3" so it would be tight fit, but it may git an iPhone 6. It will not fit an iPhone 6 Plus.

Is this going to be big enough for my 2nd grader to use as a school back pack?

Asked by: Hannah123
Thanks for the question! This sling is pretty tiny in person - since it is only 8 liters. I do not think it will work as a school pack, because you will not be able to fit folders inside of it due to the tear-drop shape. I hope this helps a little!

Is the main pocket large enough to carry a laptop?

Asked by: Breezy
Hey Breezy, This sling would be big enough to fit some laptops. Very small laptops, though. The newest 12-inch Macbook, which is about 11x7.75", should fit. Tablets should fit as well. Anything bigger than that wouldn't work out though.

Interested in the Patagonia Sling bag. Can you tell me how tall it is? I need to hold a water bottle in it.

Asked by: mmm_nm
Thanks for the question! The Sling is 14.5" tall. Would be plenty large to fit a Nalgene or Camelbak.
