Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Alberta Winter Fantastic jacket for winter. I purchased this as I take the bus and am tired of big bulky jackets. It has been my constant this winter when I am walking, skating or commuting. It is good on its own to -18C and works fantastic when it is colder as part of a layering system. The fit is accurate, I am 5'9", 135 lbs and the medium fit perfect. No wind gets through this coat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice parka! I really love the parka. It's very lightweight and warm, and the color is perfect. My only problem with it is my disappointment that it was made in China. I hadn't seen any reference to where is was made when I looked at the information about it. Since Outdoor Research has a factory in the United States, I had assumed that is where it had been made. I would like to suggest that you be honest on your site and tell where it was made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Flattering Coat I was on the hunt for a flattering thigh length winter coat that would keep me warm without making me look like a marshmallow. This did the trick! Its fitted and the silhouette is beautiful. I've even gotten a few compliments on it. Even the hood looks super cute up and that's really saying something! I should say this coat is not super heavyweight and doesn't have any liner like some of my other down jackets do, so its worth throwing on a fleece or extra sweater on super cold days, but I think that's a good trade off for a stylish coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and flattering! I love the Sonata Parka. It keeps me warm when I am in my cocktail dress headed to a holiday party. And I wear it walking around town in the middle of winter. I also wear it over my base and mid-layers before a day of skiing. This jacket gets a lot of compliments (I own it in black and cornflower). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a longer length down jacket who doesn't want to sacrifice style. This coat fits true to size. And most importantly, its warm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, Warm, Beautiful I have been waiting years for a longer down parka. I could never justify it to myself. I have to say that getting this parka was worth the wait! Or, shall I say worth the weight? Longer down jackets have just seemed impractical to me in the past because they are so big and bulky and donメt travel well. This jacket is surprisingly packable and lightweight, and for a 650-fill jacket, it feels like 800-fill to me! (And itメs RDS certified so thereメs a relief to your conscience regarding how the feathers were sourced.) Once I felt the warmth over my hips and back-side, I was instantly hooked. The cut is flattering (Iメm broadly-built 5メ3ヤ gal weighing 135lbs and ordered a size S, which is close-fitting but I could still fit a light layer underneath) and has simple design features that make it a beautiful piece in ORメs モMountain Lifeヤ category. There are a couple snaps on the sides to make the waist just a little trimmer looking if you have a nice hour-glass figure (which I donメt, but it still looks nice). And there are 3 hidden zipper pockets. I have it in Cornflower, and the color is a unique alternative to black and is still classy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for average winter days. Perfect length. This jacket is the perfect length. I am 5'4" and it just covers my bum. This jacket is perfect for the standard 30 degree winter day. But in a cold snap you'll need to layer. Really nice lines and feminine cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight and warm I ordered this coat online and when I first held it I though it was much to thin and light weight to take on a cold Canadian winter. I was wrong. I first wore it in a cold, sideways snow, dog walk and I found it to be both warm and wind proof and after thirty minutes of snow exposure it was still dry. I'm 5'9" 145 lbs and ordered the medium which was a perfect fit with a sweater underneath.
