Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sized slightly smaller than usual These seem to fit slightly smaller than the rest of the OR pants I own. I had to size up and they fit a bit larger than I'd like, but they're great pants

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly well designed backcountry ski pants ! I love all the features that make these pants so functional.Several zipper pockets including a designated beacon pocket. The ventilation zippers are nice as well. I am 6'1" tall and weigh 175 pounds. My waist measures 32" and my inseam is also 32".I ordered a medium and they fit great just like my Carharts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice ski ski touring pants. I'm 6'2" and a 33 waist 170 lbs. went with medium on their recommendation. Pant legs a little short as pants but for skiing they're perfect. Out of the snow but over the cuff. Plenty of pockets and vent zips. Mid weight fabric same as there other boot cuff less climbing pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product Great pant and good fit. My only complaint is the stitching inside. I need to wear a thin layer to eliminate the rough seams inside. Otherwise these are perfect for snow activities. Cannot wait for the mud reason.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Split boarding pants I ordered the same size of other OR pants that I have, but found these are slightly smaller fitting than others. I sized up one size, and they fit great! The waist has adjustable velcro tabs to tension or loosen which makes up for the larger waist. The length is great, and overall fit moves perfectly for me. I have a pair of Black Diamond Induction pants that I liked, but had some issues with. These are even better, and have the great OR warranty to go with them! I've used this pair of pants for Splitboarding, and alpine climbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to pants! These are my go to pants for anything outside of summertime use. I use them to snowshoe during the winter. Have summited both baker and rainier while wearing them. They keep me warm and dry. When it gets warm the vent zips on the side are incredible! I recommend these to anyone who spends any amount of time in the snow. They stretch. They breathe. They vent. The only thing I wish was different was if they added the waterproof material to the butt as well. And maybe a couple more pockets but not a necessity. Overall my most favorite pants I own

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for what they're designed for Reviews for the trailbreakers seem to be all over the place. I was looking for a pair of snowshoeing pants and bought these. I also have a hard time sizing for pants since I'm always between a small or medium, so hopefully I can shed some light for somebody in the same situation. Initial Impressions/Concerns: I personally think the two tone look between the waterproof lower and softshell upper look a little stupid in the picture (on the black specifically). I bought these in black and they don't look that "bad" in person, they look pretty much like one color. You can tell, but it doesn't look as different in the picture. I was also worried that these would be super baggy. I was looking for more of a regular pair of pants for winter hiking/snowshoeing as opposed to bulky ski/snowboard pants. These aren't nearly as baggy as they appear in the picture. The bottom seems to flair out just a little with a boot cut, but it's not bad. Also, there is a cinch cord that helps control that a little if you're looking to tighten the cuff up. Fit: I'm 5'8" - 160 lbs. with a true 33" waist with a 30" inseam. I wear everything from a 30" - 32" waist from various clothing companies. It's honestly unhelpful when people say "I'm a 32x32 in jeans" Well, from who? Levi's? Old Navy? They all have different interpretations of size to make you feel better about your waistline. Anyways, I almost always fall on a 31" waist from most clothing companies with an actual 33" waist. With that being said, the small trailbreakers were a little too tight for me. I could put them on ok, but they were a little snug in the thighs and I certainly wouldn't be able to layer with them. The mediums fit me much better. They are a hair loose in the waist, but the velcro cinch allows me to get them to fit perfect. Performance: The leg zips for heat dumping are awesome. I've only overheated once during a pretty rigorous climb and that's because I was an idiot. My base layer was way too heavy. With a lightweight base layer, I've worn these in 10* up to 37*. I've stayed very comfortable and when it's a little warmer, the zips allow me to continue to stay comfortable. As far was being waterproof, they work as advertised. Below the knee is waterproof and above is water resistant. I went snowshoeing in the pouring rain for about 3-4 hours last weekend and my upper thighs got a little damp. The upper material fought the rain for about 30-45 minutes, but eventually succumbed to the rain. Overall, an awesome pair of pants.
