Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like everyone says :) This is lightweight, warm and ultra compact. My wife was laughing when I pulled this out and said it looks like I was wearing a trash bag :P Then she tried it on and now she keeps bugging me to buy her one too. I'm 6'3" 210 lbs and wear a XL. this is a great jacket all around. I've worn it for some really cold nights and its exceeded my expectations. Thanks again OR for making a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential down I have the Transcendent Jacket and the Incandescent Hoody, and love them both, but the Filament jacket is the one that is in constant use. It is perfect under my shell on cold powder day, a stylish chill buster on in-town errands, a 10 essential in my day pack, and keeps me cozy in my under-heated house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Lightweight For its weight, this is the warmest and most versatile of the many, many jackets I own. It is comfortable for use as a layer under a shell in wet or windy conditions, or just as a jacket for use on the trail or around town. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid-weight puffy Love this coat. Very light weight and comfortable, also looks great. Fits well under a shell.I have been wearing it everyday since getting it. I does not breath particularly well so does get a bit clammy when I work up a sweat. Packs down very small into its pocket which makes it a perfect extra layer to take with you, the main reason I bought it. One area that I would like to see a change is around the wrists, it is a bit more puffy around the inside of the wrists than I'd prefer. I bought a size medium which feels like a perfect fit. I am 6'1", 178lbs with a 41" chest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightweight insulation I purchased this jacket primarily as a lightweight insulation piece for fall backpacking . I found for me the comfort range this jacket is from 40 to 50ᄚF. At a active hiking pace I can wear this jacket down to 32ᄚF. This jacket can also be layered under the floodlight jacket. I did a lot of research before purchases the jacket one of the main reasons I decided to purchase it was the baffle is predominantly square which allows the jacket to have increase thermal efficiency and increased compressibility

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy it already This jacket is amazing. It's light, packable, comfortable and stands out from the slew of light down jackets on the market now. If you don't have your keys or phone in your pocket you almost forget it's on. Now to the question of warmth. It is warmer than I expected but not so warm that you can't wear it in a car or indoors without sweating buckets. This would make a great travel piece in addition to its use outdoors. Its actually packed in my carryon backpack right now. I'm happy with my purchase. I have been looking at this one since it was a pullover but wanted a jacket. Thanks OR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filament Pullover I have had the filament pullover (2014 model) for a year now. This is the perfect multipurpose layer as it is not too warm (like a down parka) to keep on during trips to town and in and out of a vehicle or house. In the woods it is the ideal alternative to bulky fleece for mid layers in cold dry climates. It is so light you feel like you are wearing next to nothing, but you wont feel the cold! .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dialed and Ready This piece is light, warm, and packable. Perfect as a mid-layer on cold days or as a stand alone outer layer on crisp mornings and evenings in spring and fall. This jacket has become my go to piece for light warmth on climbing/camping trips in Utah and Colorado. It packs down small has all the features you need. For lightweight warmth this outperforms a Nanopuff every day of the week. Stitching and zippers are all holding up well after a few months of sustained use.
