Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for "water adjacent" activities I just took these little guys on a Grand Canyon rafting trip and kept cell phone and camera in them. They were never "tested" in full extended submersion, but they defiantly protected the electronic gear from splashes and brief water exposure. ,,These will be perfect to keep valuables in a pack for a long backpacking trip to ensure they don't get wet from rain or water bottle leaking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK For Casual Use, Not For White Water I have used these Outdoor Research Dry Ditty Sacks for a couple years. First year I used them for casual packing and camping to keep things separated and organized. Not much water exposure involved. They did great and seemed durable. The closures were nice and convenient. Seemed to be pretty air tight and no signs of the material or waterproofing getting thin. One bag I have kept in a pack that is used for running and cycling for extra change of clothes that has been rained on several times. No signs of water intrusion at all.,,Recently, I went on a white water trip on the French broad river. This time, I used the largest ditty to hold extra shorts and t shirt, cell phone and keys. I put the cell phone and keys in their own zip loc bag just in case. Now, the French broad river is mostly class 1 to 3 with only one real class 4 section that does not last long. We also jumped into the river from about 10 feet. After, I found some water intrusion in bag so glad I used a ziploc for my phone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bags for keeping things seperate I bought these bags to keep toiletries and other odds and end in. I have hung them out in the rain and the things inside stayed dry. I would purchase these again and would recommend to a friend.
