Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits so many things , but shrinks super small! I love this stuff sack . I live outside in the relentless desert and mountain wilderness of Utah half of the year and it's great being able to fit my bivy sac my sleeping pad and my 0 degree sleeping bag in this stuff stack and shrink it down small enough to put in the bottom compartment of my 80 liter pack . And it keeps my stuff dry too!! No matter how much snow or rain we get .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Excellent Design Overall, I really like OR's compression dry sacks. Unlike the Sea to Summit eVent bags, the compression straps are always ready to go--no messing with getting the top turned around or untangled and lined up. The daisy chain is useful for lashing it directly to a raft, or securing it to the outside of your pack if need be. However, I have found that the bags are a little too long and narrow, making it difficult to stuff a sleeping bag fully to the bottom, which can make the whole thing cinch with kinks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Idea I bought this dry bag to pack my sleeping bag in. The volume is correct but there is no way to get my sleeping bag in due to the slender design. I know there are larger sizes but I don't want to negate my light weight sleeping bag by packing it in a dry bag that is actually too large for it. Make bags with a shorter but wider design, please. Then I will love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! Bought 2 of these this summer for a self-support whitewater kayak trip on the Selway river in northern Idaho. I stuffed sleeping bag in one, and clothes in the other and they worked perfect. The bags are lightweight and waterproof, easy to close, and kept my stuff nice and dry even when sitting in puddle of water all day. I did not try to submerge them. I would be cautious about the long-term effects of abrasion on the fabric from sand within the hull of a kayak, but expect these will be great for wet-weather backpacking trips and long ski tours. Narrow size is great for kayak hull or backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deceptively durable & dry Great bit of gear - super lightweight which initially made me concerned, but I beat the heck out of it and it stood up to everything. Used it on a dive trip in Fiji where I had a very strict size/weight allowance for baggage. Kept dry stuff dry on the boat and let me stash wet gear next to clothes in my bag without getting my nice clothes wet. The compression straps came in clutch when I was almost over the luggage size allotment. Pro tip - it's super waterproof, so if you leave a wet rash guard in the bag while you enjoy a couple/three local brews and then forget about for a couple days, your shirt will still be moist (and funky)... no idea who might have done that.

I HAVE A WESTERN MOUNTAINEERING SUMMERLIGHT BAG WHAT SIZE SHOULD I ORDER

Asked by: BLUEDU
Thanks for the question! Since the SummerLite stuff sack size is 6"x12", you might be able to get away with the 5L compression sack at 15" x 51/2" - just roll the bag as tightly as possible. If you don't think you can fit it, go with the 8L at 18" x 61/2". Good luck!
