Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I travel for business regularly and I have been looking for a messenger style bag for a long, long time. I need something that is semi professional, but is functional. The biggest issue is the Velcro that seals the bag... - I didn't think this was a big deal until you're in a meeting or conference and you need to open the bag... I dread doing this. Like another reviewer, they should have used magnets. If you're not going to take this to meetings, seminars, or classes, I think this bag is pretty solid. - Like another reviewer mentioned, the material is prone to getting things stuck to it. I constantly find myself dusting it off. It's like a magnet for dust, hair, fluff etc. I wish they used a different material. Functionally, it does everything I want, plus it has a luggage strap at the back which is convenient. The orange on the interior is loud, but it doesn't bother me, even when i'm on a business meeting, it would have been nicer if it were a grey or a more subtle colour, but not a huge deal for me. I thought I found the perfect travel bag, sigh. My search continues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and Comfortable Over the years I have used courier bags from a number of top tier outdoor gear firms. I've been using the Osprey for about three weeks and have found it to be remarkably comfortable, functional, and very well designed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Messenger-style Bag I went looking for the best bag I could find to suit me and organise my work requirements - I go into industrial environments daily and need a bag to hold assorted bulky equipment such as high vis vests, tape and laser measurers, safety glasses, files, folders and notepads, plus a laptop and personal stuff. After spending a lot of time looking on-line and in stores too, I was delighted when I found this Osprey Courier pack. It's absolutely brilliant, almost as if it was designed exactly to suit me. It's even better than that really, since I looked at a lot of other bags first and most just didn't do what I wanted, and those that came close were either far more expensive or lacked some of the features or quality of this bag. I will be recommending this to my work colleagues who will also require a similar bag - It's just great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice gift Still trying to figure out what the little belt on the back is for. I think it might be security belt to be used if a person is using a bicycle as a means of transportation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect features for use as a Camera Bag! This bag offers all the protection, room and pockets I need for any day hikes with a full compliment of camera gear. DSLR, Telephoto lens, Macro lens, Wide angle lens, spare batteries, filters, SD cards and a small tripod all fit with enough space for my water bottle, snacks and a lightweight fleece jacket. My only complaint would be that it does not have a waistbel, though it does seem to have the buckles in place to be fitted with one. I believe a wide, well padded hip belt would make this a great bag for dayhikers, outdoors photography buffs and trail runners alike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the bag more than Osprey's decision-making ability I want to start by saying that I really love this bag. It is spacious and has well-thought-out features. It more than meets my expectations and needs as a carry-on travel companion to my Farpoint 40, which I also love. I know exactly where Osprey designers were going with this re-design. They were going for a classier, more professional look. They succeeded. Osprey is known for their rubberized, easy-to-grip zipper pulls. They chose to replace them with less-conspicuous nylon pulls. This was a fail. They could have just as easily designed a straighter, yet still elegant rubberized pull. I love the classy way they designed the external bottle holders. Stretch mesh pockets would have been wrong and totally out of place. The bright orange interior lining makes the bag less "polished" but helps to better locate items inside the bag. I understand why the only exterior zippered- pocket, which used to be on the outside flap, is now hidden beneath the handle. Increased security? However, this is a shoulder bag and not a backpack. The bag is naturally within sight of the owner almost all of the time and not as open to mischief as a backpack-style bag would tend to be. And the corded handle? I do not find it to be cheap. It goes with the more professional, less-luggage-like look. Yet there is something comforting about gripping one of Osprey's famous well-padded handles. So I can understand some, but not all of the other reviewer's misgivings. I happen to love the velcro backup closer so I don't have to worry about clicking the flap closed each and every time. The shoulder strap is comfortable. What is very puzzling to me, however, is Osprey's apparent need to constantly revise and update it's product line, to where great features are arbitrarily removed and colors change from year-to-year, making it nearly impossible to coordinate one's Osprey purchases. Is it so hard to illustrate the insides and features of your products on your corporate website?

ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE - Osprey's Lifetime Warranty

When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.

Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.

Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:

What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.

What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.

How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.

What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.

Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.

JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.

All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
