The Omega Pacific Rappel Ring is crafted with forged aluminum and designed for bail-outs and rap stations. The Omega rappel ring is anodized gray for minimal visual impact, and features solid construction that provides 20 kN minimum breaking strength, or over 4400 lbs. The rappel ring is not intended for repeated lowering.

This climbing gear is NOT designed to be used as a rappel or belay device (e.g. ATC, SBGII, Figure-8 or any other friction device). It is intended solely as a hardware alternative to bail-out slings, webbing and cord. Sorry for yelling about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item! Got these through the moosejaw bucks placed them into my vertical first aid kit. There definitely more durable then the silver smc rings you use to bail out with. Remember ever use toy biners to bail out because it will save you a buck instead use these and save your life and your more costly biner in the process while bailing out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Using for slack line...gets the job done. This is pretty nice, it's lightweight and sleek. I'm using it for my slackline to set up a primitive line and it works just fine. I trust it will hold weight so I can be confident in different moves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I'm trying to find a better way to adjust my Warbonnet Blackbird hammock when it's fully loaded with sleeping bag, underquilt, pillow, clothes bag, books, oh what else?.... The tiny triangles are way too small with that weight to use easily. The ENO straps can't be pulled tight enough. Even tried a Petzl Pirana, but then I'd have to use a rope rather than tree huggers. Whoopie slings get way too bound up with that kind of weight. Dutch buckles are a little hard to use with my old arthritic hands. These rings--two of them per end--are perfect: strong, easy to handle, and classy. Not at all what they were designed for, yet perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price I bought 3 of them for using them on a bridge on my harness. They work well. After 2 days of use, they are already showing some signs of wear. My carabiners have indented a few small places on them, and I can visibly see where the rope has rubbed through the rings. Nothing major. For $4 each, you can't find better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works great Rap rings like these are essential in any bolted anchor set up with or without chains. They allow for easy clipping of quickdraws and are extremely durable throughout every season. I have witnessed these in use years after their implementation and they still hold up very well. Because they are aluminum however, make sure you don't lower off them and rappel if possible. Take care to keep permanent gear in tact so it can be used for the longest it can.,,,,By the way, if you want to get into hobbies, these guys are great for making rope belts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rap rings that get the job done. Not much to say here but except that these are quality rap rings for a solid price. I use them for primitive slackline rigging and they have proven great over the last few months of heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for primitive slacklining! I bought a couple of these to rig my primitive slackline. They are exactly what I was looking for! They are smooth so it will not hurt the line, and work perfect for the tensions required for the line. They don't reduce the breaking strength of the line like knots would, and keep the slackling looking much neater. Who doesn't like a perfect looking set-up? The only possible draw-back I can think of (and shouldn't even really be one) is they are very noisy when carrying my gear around as they make a high pitched ringing when they jingle jangle with each other. Would definitely recommend using these over the knots on the slackline since they are easier than undoing the knots that these replace in the set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I purchased a couple of these to rig my slackline and the work perfectly. you could definitely right the slackline without them but it looks much neater with them on there, plus it doesn't reduce the strength of the webbing like a knot does.
