Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boot but ... I'm what you call a high pointer or peak bagger. Many of the mountains I hike have no trails so bushwhacking is often the norm as is rough terrain in the mountains and deserts of the Southwest. This is my first pair of Oboz boots. I have worn boots by about five other brands. I bought these boots a couple weeks ago and have used them on two hikes, totaling about 14 miles. Both hikes were for the most part over rough, rocky terrain to include scrambling at times. The positive: The boots are very comfortable and handle uneven terrain well. Good grip too. I also noticed my feet stayed warm one morning when the temps were in the mid-20s. The negative: construction quality. I'm seeing this more and more so its not unusual, the adhesive being used to form boots is not the best. The result is the boot starts to come apart; I'm speaking of small areas not whole sections. This issue is not limited to Oboz, I've experienced the same thing on three other popular boot brands. Granted the boots are being subjected to abuse caused by cross country travel which likely exceeds the design expectations but given the price I expect them to handle some abuse. Fortunately there's an easy fix solution - Shoe Goo. As soon as I notice issues I take action to repair using Shoe Goo resulting in prolonging the life of the boot. Another issue with the boot to keep in mind is sizing. I had tried these boots on in a store so I knew exactly what size to buy when I went online. I normally wear a standard size 10. My foot width is D. Some brands/styles I have to go to standard 10.5. For these boots I had to go to 11 Wide. So if you're buying online without having first tried on the boots I suggest you hit a store first. Despite the adhesive issue I'm still impressed with the boot. I really like them, especially the comfort. At this point I can't say I'd recommend them or not as its just too early to tell. If the Moosejaw product review allows future edits then I will revisit for an update.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Break in fast and multi-use! I've had these hiking boots for a handful of months now. They were quite stiff on my first hike but broke in super fast. I've worn these boots traveling, hunting, and hiking. They're so comfortable you could wear them all day - which I find myself inadvertently doing quite often. Went up a half size because I frequently wear wool socks. Absolutely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot! I bought these boots a month ago and they were perfect out of the box. They fit true to size, very comfortable and so far very durable. I work in them and hike. I highly recommend this boot.

This isn't the insulated Bridger yet the specifications say it is? Is it really insulated? Does it have the Thinsulate layer?

Asked by: Sparky
Hiya Sparky, thanks for your question! This boot is not insulated. Thanks for bringing it to our attention so we can correct the product page. Sorry for the confusion!

Would you recommend this boot for in/out boat canada fishing in June time frame?

Asked by: tazrmc
Hiya tazrmc, thanks for your question! This boot is a good option, however, you'll need to wear heavy socks in chilly weather, as the boot is not insulated. Also, you should not submerge it underwater... but shallow water is fine. Hope this helps!

Is the weight published above (19oz) for the pair or per boot? Thanks!

Asked by: VooDoo Tracker
Thanks for the question! The weight is 19 ounces per boot. So total weight is 36 ounces, or 2.25 lbs for the pair, . Hope this helps!
