Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised! I bought this for a lighter-weight option for some distance hiking and am happy I did. It is roomy - I can lay on my side and bring my legs up. It is warm - in 40 degree weather I had to open the zipper, and in the 30s I was still toasty. It is lighter weight - it takes up some space in my pack and does weight 2 lbs, but better than many other options. The draft collar is also a nice feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sidesleeper Heaven Ohmyword, yes. I backpack maybe 3-4 times a year, so I have had my fair share of borrowed sleeping bags, all of which I've never had a good nights sleep in (either I would freeze my tookus off or feel too claustrophobic). I was sick of that, so I looked into sleeping bags that were wide enough for a sidesleeper like me to feel comfortable, yet insulated enough to warm up any extra space there may be. That's where the Nemo Salsa comes in super handy. It gives that extra space in the middle for me to lay sideways and have a knee up to my chest, but still has insulation top and bottom to fill in the gaps where your body isn't able to. I have used it in freezing weather 11,000 feet in elevation in a freezing rainstorm, and I was toasty all night (while all my friends froze in their sleeping bags. Ha.) And, extra points for it being waterproof and down. I have also used it in a bit warmer weather and was perfectly fine and not too hot. It is a good mix between being lightweight and keeping someone warm. I have no complaints thus far. Give me a few years of backpacking and I'll let you know how well the material holds up. I'm not too worried about it though, honestly. Good stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm I recently used this for 2 nights in Colorado. I'm not sure of the exact temperature, but a friend left his 3L water bladder outside his tent and it froze solid overnight. The bag kept me warm, but I was wearing a down jacket, booties, beanie and wool baselayer. I love the blanket fold that seals out cold air around the neck. Bag has plenty of room and I never felt constricted. I have not had it long enough to report on long term durability

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bag The bag is nice and light. Packs down super small. I'm pretty sensitive to cold weather sleeping. I used it in high 40's weather tent camping on a queen size air mattress. Slept in gym shorts and a T shirt. I felt a little chilly, but not bad considering i was in gym shorts. So i wonder how comfortable I'll be in sub freezing conditions. I'll definitely be wearing layers. Also tried it hamocking for a little bit in Low 50's... i would definitely recommend using some sort of insulating pad w this bag if hamocking in any kind of chilly conditions.

What size of compression stuff sack would I need to purchase for this ( I have the long size)? The regular bag that it comes in is too big for my pack.

Asked by: Trojan714
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The Nemo Salsa 15 sleeping bag should come with a storage bag and a stuff sack. The stuff sack dimensions should be 18 in X 9 in with a volume of 19 liters. When compressed, the stuff sack is 7 liters. If you're thinkin' it's too big, then try a 15 liter stuff sack and see if that helps.
