For choppy lake paddling (Lake Powell) which Escape would you recommend: 11-6 or 12-6??

Asked by: carlos
Hiya carlos, thanks for your question! Generally, selecting a board depends on the user's size and use. If you are a beginner and weigh under 200 pounds, I would recommend the 11.6 board. It is a bit wider (about 2 inches), which will make it easier to control in choppy water. The 12.6 board is faster but it is harder to make turns. It is rated for someone up to 250 pounds but also for someone as light as 100 pounds, so if speed is a factor, you could go with the longer board. Hope this helps!
