I am a 183 cm Asian. the size is fit on me, durable and water repellent upper is good for my daily use.the adjustable yoke give me lot of support. this is wonderful daypack i never met before. Cons: there lack of colour choose for the women version, cos my girlfriend doesn't like the sharp colour indeed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged excellence This pack and company comes with an almost mystical reputation. Having had this pack for some weeks now and having had the opportunity to spend some time in the way back on and off trail. I live and spend much of my time in the high Sonoran mountains which eats gear worse than any place I have ever hiked. I spend my time alone on and off trail and miles from any help, so I take the performance of my gear seriously. I take enough with me to spend a night or two out if things don't go as planned, so my pack is never light for the size. 6000 feet of elevation is cold even here. This pack carries a load like a champ! The padding, straps and adjustments allowed me to get the load dialed in petty quick and gave the impression of being small and light, though it was not. I did 18.2 miles to a remote location and kept the pace at 2mph including lunch and sight seeing at an ancient ruin. I had everything I needed and felt strong at the finish. The zipper access is a cool concept that lets you get to the bottom of the pack easily and gives access to the top of the pack very quickly. The material is very tough...again, that is important as everything in the desert wants to eat your gear. The vegetation is sharp and grabby but this pack rides a bit lower which lets me cut through dense brush and under low limbs more smoothly. The ground here is volcanic rock which makes my one year old boots look like there are down to their last season. This pack takes it well even if I use it for a head rest or drop it on the ground. If I ever feel the need to update my full size pack, I will be looking to Mystery Ranch for that as well. Truly a fine piece of well thought out and well executed gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great with tons of room I used this for fly fishing and love the side pockets for an extra rod and a big water bottle. Looks great and fits my choice of form, fit and function for a half day or full day hike, or fly fishing trip. This pack reminds me of my MOLLE pack from my military days!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mystery Ranch "scree Bought the pack a month ago used it on a small 5 mile hike it was great to use because of the 3 zip design. The hip pockets are great for small snack or a multi-tool. Cant wait to put more miles on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pack This is an exceptionally well-made pack. It is made of durable materials and has heavy duty zippers. I bought this pack to use as a hiking day pack. Most of the time I carry around 15 lbs in it. The only con is that the hip belt really isn't made to support any sort of load, so you do feel it more on your shoulders. Due to this, I will be buying a Coulee in the future to hopefully move more weight to my hips.

Mystery Ranch Scree Daypack- what is the size details between S, M/L and XL

Asked by: Orion
Hiya Orion, thanks for your question! The packs are the same size, however, the torso sizes are different. Size small fits a 16 - 18 inch torso, M/L fits 19 - 22 inch torso and XL fits 22 - 24 inch torso. If you do not know your torso size, follow these directions to get the measurements: 1. Tilt your head forward and feel for the bony bump where the slope of your shoulders meets your neck. This is your 7th cervical (or C7) vertebra—and the top of your torso length. 2. On each side of your body, slide your hands down the ribcage to the top of your hip bones (aka the iliac crest). With index fingers pointing forward and thumbs pointing backward, draw an imaginary line between your thumbs. This spot on your lumbar is the bottom of your torso measurement. 3. Stand up straight and have a friend measure (you'll need a flexible measuring tape) the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line between your thumbs. That’s your torso length. Hope this helps!
