Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I. Love. These. Pants! Seriously love these. I normall wear a size 4, and the small size fit perfectly. They are unbelievably comfortable, the waistband fits perfectly and they don't slip down, even when hauling a 30 lb backpack through the wilderness. They're stretchy and easy to move in, durable material, breathable, wicks away rain and moisture, and they're figure-flattering! The pockets are big and deep, a rare find in womens pants. I bought them to hike in, but I find myself always looking for them to wear just day-to-day as well. I'm definitely going to get another pair in a second color, or maybe one in every color! Absolutely fantastic and can't recommend them more highly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking pants! I bought these to hike Zion National Park in early summer. They are lightweight enough to wear in warm weather. I'm sure they could transition to cool weather. I wouldn't wear them without an under-layer in temps below 40. But they are insanely comfortable (props to the yoga-like-pant waste band!), look great, feel great, and scrunch up at the ankles for when crossing creeks, etc. They are very stretchy, but don't fit tight like a yoga pant (and I have athletic muscle-y legs so that's saying something if they're not too tight!). I tried the Outdoor Research Ferris pants, and just really didn't like the feel of the material nearly as much as these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfortable, very lightweight I bought these because I thought they'd be good hiking and traveling plants. They are super lightweight, even lighter than leggings (great if you are a minimalist packer), and worked really well on a hike I did recently in 80F weather, I wasn't too hot in them . Very stretchy, but still maintained their shape. They fit great, especially for hiking pants! I would wear these on a regular basis without any hesitation! The stretchy waistband is great because it doesn't dig into you, and it also doesn't slide down. I will say though that as I pull them up, they made some horrible sound going over my hips- they needed just a bit more stretch to go over that area. I normally wear a size 4 in pants from other brands, I'm 140lbs, 5'7", and the small regular was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pants Purchase in Recent Memory Mountain Hardwear really hit it out of the park with these. The fabric, cut, pockets, colors, stretchy waistband are all perfect (why have I never seen technical fabric with a stretchy waist before??). Comfortable and cool while hiking and sweating with a 30-lb toddler on my back, but also kept me warm when we hung out at a lake at 10,000 ft on a cloudy/rainy day. I will definitely be buying these in one or all of the other colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hiking Pants Ever!! I have 1 pair of these and 2 of the capris. They are the best for hiking, great for yoga, and I even wear them to work (casual active environment). The elastic wast stays up without digging in. The stretch is awesome, allowing you to move without being constricted. I have been using these pants for about 1 year for hiking/scrambling in the mountains of NY (including bushwhacking through dense forest) and they have held up very well. I an 5'3", wear size 10 pants and the medium fits well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants ever I read reviews I procrastinated cue to price but got on sale, thanks moosejaw. I am over the fact that they might be mistaken as maternity pants...because it is true I never want to take them off...they are so nicely cut and comfy. I am 145 and 5' 10 medium fits great. Think they are true to size 8 -10. Hopefully MH will keep in their range. A tiny zipper key pocket would be awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, comfy, and flattering! Oh, I love these pants so much! I bought them in black, so they look like yoga pants, but with a bit more structure. I am normally a size 6 in the hips and the small fit me perfectly. I cannot be more pleased. Good job MH and moosejaw!
