The Mountain Hardwear Ratio 32 Sleeping Bag is a versatile down sleeping bag for late spring, summer, and early fall backpacking and camping. The 650-fill down is treated with Q.Shield, a water-resistant finish, and packed into Thermo Trap Baffles to prevent the down from shifting. A durable water repellent on the nylon shell of the bag also helps repel water, allowing the Ratio to perform better in wet conditions. The comfort mummy cut of the bag reduces weight while still allowing enough space to snuggle against the down-filled face gasket. The down bag packs into the included stuff sack, creating a lightweight package that won’t take up all the space in your backpack.

FEATURES of the Mountain Hardwear Ratio 32 Sleeping Bag

  • Q.Shield DOWN 650-fill has an advanced treatment applied that resists heat robbing moisture and retains maximum loft in damp conditions
  • Comfort mummy cut efficiently maximizes warmth and minimizes weight without constriction
  • Unique ThermoTrap Baffle construction locks down into smaller chambers for less down migration, even loft height and more consistent warmth
  • Down-filled face gasket comfortably blocks drafts at the hood opening
  • Insulated draft tube with anti-snag panel prevents cold spots along zipper
  • Single-handed draw cords easily adjust hood closure
  • Full length 5 zipper with double sliders for versatile ventilation

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good all around bag Bought this bag with the intent of using from spring thru fall and as a light weight backpacker that packs down small.. and it sure is, it came with a stuff sack that packs down to about 6x10. Well, I'm fully satisfied this bag gets it done. The shell nylon is silky to the touch, the insulation is very adequate and the thing is feather light, I really think I'll get a lot of use out ofthis one. I have another winter bag that I use for winter camping. I took this one out in 30 degree night and it performed very well. I was very warm. I felt like I could go colder but with some thermals on. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Bang for the Buck! I bought this bag for this coming Summer's John Muir a Trail thru hike. I used it for the first time last week in Northeast Ohio on an overnight stay on the Buckeye Trail. Low temp was 29 degrees. With that said I wore a mid and heavy weight later inside the bag as I was unsure of its ability. Firstly, this bag is LITE and packs down TINY. I stayed toasty warm and had no complaints about the bag for my first use in it. I'm 6'0 tall and the tall bag worked great. Plenty of leg room if your a "bent leg" sleeper. Hughly Recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bag Bought this bag for the 5 day, 4 night early Sept Enchantments backpack. Dry down, light, compresses small, zipper worked good. Didn't realize when I purchased it that it was as roomy as it is. I Liked that. I knew what I was getting for a 32 deg bag. I was warm most nights.

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.
