DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bag you can live in I love this sleeping bag. I thru hiked the whole pct with this bag and it was a tank! I normally sleep really cold but this bag never let me down. After putting over 2,650 miles of use to it I still could easily put another 1,500 miles on it. Only thing I wish it had was a toe vent.

Can you machine wash successfully

Asked by: Lourie
Hiya Lourie, thanks for your question. You can machine wash it, however, there are a lot of dont's to consider: Don't use a top-loading washing machine (agitator will destroy the baffles in the bag). Don't use liquid soap or detergent, or a very strong soap or detergent. Don't use your home dryer - they've been known to melt holes in fabric. Also.... Never dry clean a Mountain Hardwear sleeping bag - the chemicals used are harmful to the fabrics and filling and will severely reduce loft and thermal efficiency. It can be professionally washed but look for folks who specialize in cleaning outdoor products. Hope this helps!

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.
