Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack for Life ! I went to the Moosejaw store to pick out a pack. You are able to see and check out all the packs and if they don't have it there they will get it there in a couple days for you to try out.. Moosejaw had it right collaborating with Osprey on this one. Fits woman well, fits all your gear , tons of pockets and straps and breathable. Good for a day or two trip. Light weight and I love the blue color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I like the design of the bag. I bought it last month. It's awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pack! I bought this about a month ago and I couldn't be happier. It's replaced an old laptop messenger bag and is 110x more comfortable. It has plenty of space and pockets for organization. Heading to a conference next month and fully expect it provide all of the comfort and storage that I'll require.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag - but graphics limiting for work Great daypack with plenty of relevant organization, and good size for daily commute or carryon travel. The problem is with its graphics that are a little unprofessional. Baby Snakes printed on the hydration port, Love the Madness on the back, a big M on the bottom. I think for a student or for general travel its okay, but not for the office. Again Osprey Quality, graphics not fitting for everyone. I actually purchased a Osprey branded pack for work (Quasar model).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of zippered pockets. Used as a carry on for flight. Plenty of zippered compartments for organization. Fits under plane seat fully loaded down without using straps to compress bag. Good quality and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a Great Bag!! Always in search of the perfect bag I purchased Esteban. This is a very nice bag. It has decent admin organization, water bottle carrying capacity and lap-top storage capability. The color is nice and has stylish red and grey highlights. I have it loaded and carrying it today and it is a keeper. At 28 liters, it is roomy but not cavernous. I seem to carry a lot of things. I am a female and don't like carrying a "purse." Back packs are so much more exciting. I am wanting to do a video review on this in the near future. The dimensions of the pack are 19" x 12" by at least 5 inches. I has a super carrying handle and plenty of pockets. Great Job Moosejaw and Osprey!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes My Brain Release The Good Chemicals I bought ESTEBAN because I love backpacks, and I exist in a constant, hellish state of hunting for a new backpack to have and hold and place things in and carry about. Much like an Osprey is constantly engaged in a search for a meaty fish to pluck from the waters of a fresh or possibly brackish body of water. I don't NEED all these backpacks, but I WANT them. Life is about satisfying your WANTS, I say. As long as you operate loosely within the bounds of the Law and prevailing social norms anyway. So, yeah, buy backpacks! Redundant ones! Better than hoarding trash or breeding cats to excess, am I right? Anyway, the table having been set: ESTEBAN is a sweet backpack. Snappy looking, strappy and sleek, full of pockets and pouches and sleeves. So, so many pockets and pouches. It is a veritable ergonomically designed playground of thoughtful, steely-eyed storage options. The secret little zipper pouch on the back side is a great idea. You could hide something important in it, or just some secret chap stick or whatever. It is very lightweight (crucial for when it is on your back and not just sitting propped up looking sharp by your desk or whatever) and every tug of a zipper or caress of its rugged exterior screams "made to ride hard and last forever." Or something like that. Honestly: it is very well made. Then there is the Osprey (bird) tie-in I alluded to above. The Osprey is a fascinating raptor that goes by many names, including "Sea Eagle." I have read the ENTIRE Wikipedia page on Ospreys at least twice. Good info on an under appreciated bird. So, the fact that Esteban is made by Osprey is really just an added bump in the whole deal. The MOOSEJAW "Co-Lab" angle? I will be honest, I have no clue what that really means. Seems to mean it means that MOOSEJAW got to slap some of their trademark funny slogans on the thing. Which, cool. I like the funny little sayings. I embrace the madness daily, sometimes twice a day even. I remember when the old MOOSEJAW catalogues were all just smoking ladies and funny little quips. Those were the days - how we laughed. As for usage, I don't hike much, or go camping ever, but I like to travel and I am known to hit the beach and/or a boat from time to time (SCUBA anyone?). I expect ole' ESTEBAN will make a fine, stylishly rugged companion on such expeditions. So there you have it. This is an excellent backpack. I love it, and you will too. Buy it, then read about the Osprey (the Bird and/or the Brand). MOOSEJAW: DO THE RIGHT THING and send me a bleeping gift card. I buy your excellent stuff with regularity, and the above review is singular in its goodness. Good night and good luck. ~ Aaron

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally found my daypack!!! Just received this yesterday, but I have been through many daypacks not just from Osprey. I decided to take a chance on this bag and I'm glad I did! The admin area is just the right size and doesn't take up a ton of room. The Air-scape back panel is a great feature to see on this bag also. My favorite feature is the small pocket along the back panel on the bottom. No clue what it's for but I like it! The U-lock loops will be great to use to hook my climbing shoes too when I go to the gym. Overall the bag seems very well thought out for the outdoorsy person who wants a bag that can truly be used for anything you will need a daypack for!

How is the sizing? Do you think it would fit for a 5''3 woman as a running commute bag? Thank you!

Asked by: Di Sha
Hey there, The Esteban comes in one size and measures 19" high and 13" across, so it should fit you well. It contains a adjustable sternum strap so it should be totally secure when you are commuting!

How is the back ventilations? I tried on an osprey pack with a similar ventilation scheme and it didn't seem to ventilate too effectively. I'm in between getting this and the radial backpack by osprey.

Asked by: DanD
This pack has some ventilation mesh panels on the back, but I would suggest going with the radial if that is your main concern. The radial has a suspended mesh AirSpeed™ backpanel with nubbed foam and side vents and is made to have excellent back ventilation.

I don't have to duck under the overhead bins in planes or walking under tree branches. But I had to return a women's cycling pack because it hit the back of my head when riding. Is this pack petite-friendly?

Asked by: MelonLord
Thanks for the question! The Esteban measures 19" high and 13" across. I am 5'3" and would consider myself petite and this pack fits me. The top does not come up that high, so I don't think your head will hit the back. Depending on how small your torso is, you could potentially rub against the handle that is on the top of the bag. If you give it a try and it doesn't work out, you can always send it back :)

Does the black/grey look as pictured (with the red straps on each side)? I ask because there used to be a black/red model listed. Thank you

Asked by: JohnK
Hey John, This pack is as pictured with the red straps. I hope this helps.

Another reviewer complains of " Moose Jaw added text " on the pack ? Baby snakes ? What are these ?

Asked by: Angus the serious
Hey Angus the Serious, Thanks for reaching out to us. We like to add a certain amount of madness or "flair" to our products, because we aim to be the most fun retailer out there! The "baby snakes" refers to text printed on the top of the pack indicating where you lace through your headphones. We have since replaced that with a Moosejaw headphones logo. There's a Moosejaw "W" on the bottom of the pack, "Love the Madness" down the spine on the back of the pack, and the Moosejaw & Osprey logos you see on the front. I hope this helps!

Will this pack hold my flute, music stand, my laptop and a couple of books.  My flute in case is 17" X 4 1/2" X 3". Steve in Brooklyn.  Also looking into Talon 33.

Asked by: Estaban
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Listen bro. Your name is Steve. This bag is called the Estaban. Estaban is a homonym for Esteban. Esteban is Spanish for Steven. STEVEN!! Put down your flute and listen to me!!! This bag was made for you, hermano!!!! But, yeah, you'll have plenty of space for the flute case, books and laptop. I assume your music stand is one of those tiny ones that folds up. If that's the case, you'll have room for that too! ¡Espero que esto te ayude!

What are the dimensions of this pack?

Asked by: LizH
Hiya LizH, thanks for your question! This pack measures 19 inches high and 13 inches across. The depth depends on how full it is. Personally, I reserve extra room for snacks... and I could fit a lot of snacks in there! Hope this helps!
