GORE-TEX Paclite

GORE-TEX Paclite
GORE-TEX Paclite is the gold standard for lightweight, breathable elemental protection. Paclite jackets are extremely packable and great to have on hand for windy or rainy conditions. They'll keep your torso dry and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is awesome! After spending a summer doing field work in south Florida, where rainstorms are frequent and unpredictable, I realized that my old rain jacket just wasn't cutting it. It was quite unpleasant to wear during heavy, extended rains -- the bulky material didn't breathe, leaving me drenched inside.,,,,I found an amazing deal for the Marmot Minimalist on Moosejaw almost a year ago. This baby has kept me dry through everything from light drizzles to tornado conditions. The GoreTex fabric is great! The jacket is lightweight, and nicely cut. The hood is well shaped to keep rain out. Overall, an awesome jacket that can easily be stashed in the bottom of a back -- just in case!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Waterproof Jacket This Minimalist jacket is well made.True to size according to the size chart.I'm 5'7" 128lbs and the small fits beautifully with room to layer-not for oversized guy sweaters under, but for quality baselayers(I can fit a midweight and expidition weight(at the same time)under it comfortably. It's made to be tailored so there's not excess material hanging around. That also makes it look great too- added bonus! The only thing I wish were different is the flap over the zipper-I wish the zippers were laminated w/out a need for the flap.Still love it though. Also, this is longer than most.It goes to my hips or smidge longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter biking! I'm a year-round bike commuter, and this is my favorite winter jacket ever. It's perfect at shielding me from the fierce Chicago wind/sleet/rain/snow. I throw a performance fleece under it and it keeps me toasty warm while I bike. It's thin, yes, but when biking you really don't need that much torso insulation. The armpit zippers are a lifesaver. I'm 5'6", 150lbs and the Medium is snug, but not so snug that I want to size up. It's a surprisingly cute rain jacket, and so comfortable that it's really versatile. If you end up buying this, do yourself a favor and wear it on non-rainy days, too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Waterproof! I won this from the Moosejaw VR Challenge and so far I'm pretty pleased with it. The jacket is definitely waterproof, so no worries there. It fits well, maybe a little large. I got it in a size medium (what I usually wear) and there is room to fit a puffy underneath the jacket. I prefer my clothes to be pretty loose so it's a perfect fit for me. My only complaint is that it gets HOT under the jacket. Since it's completely waterproof it's not super breathable. The zippers beneath the armpits encourage a little airflow but it doesn't help too much in the humid Kentucky summer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from waterproof and bulky I have this jacket in blue. The color is vibrant and fun and the gore-tex lives up to its name. But I find this jacket to run a bit on the larger side and feels really bulky. Which is fine if you need lots of space for layering and don't care about how it looks. I wear it mostly around town in rainy Seattle, usually with a fleece or down sweater underneath and it still feels too big. I like that it is long, but it is just too boxy. I am 5'7", 130lbs and wear size small. I might need to exchange for a xsmall, but the arms might be too short then. Overall, not that satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great raincoat! I already own about 4 raincoats from another famous outdoor brand- great colors but when it really rains, they get soaked. So I wanted a material that was rainproof. This one popped up with some great colors. The Gortex fabric is light but effective in keeping the elements out. The Marmot brand fits me well and it was on sale! A no brainer! I ordered the large-I'm 5'7" and 160#-and it fit great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Rain Jacket for the light traveller This jacket is perfect for those of you who want to stay dry while on the trails but dont want to shlep pounds and pounds of gear! I purchased this jacket for a backcountry hiking trip through Yellowstone and it worked a treat. The jacket is durable, light weight, and keeps me dry while not making me sweat. Just be warned, like most Marmot clothing, the minimalist jacket does run a little small, so if your planning on being able to layer underneath this I would recommend sizing up! I'm so happy with this jacket that I plan on upgrading my husband to the men's version very soon!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing jacket! great jacket with alot of versatility very warm but super thin so you dont end up being weighed down at all. the gore tex is amazing. make sure to wash and put it through the rinse cycle twice also you have to put it in the dryer on low heat it takes heat to activate the waterproofing in the jacket. i absolutely lovvveee this jacket!

Double zipper????

Asked by: Kate327
HIya Kate327, thanks for your question! Do you mean a two-way zipper? If so, no... this jacket does not have one. Sorry about that!
