The Marmot Men's Fordham Jacket is a waterproof down jacket for cold, wet weather endeavours. The classic, rugged look features wide baffles and a zip-off drop hood for warmth. The dual chest pockets compliment the two hand pockets, allowing for plenty of spots to tuck your phone, snacks and extra gloves. The MemBrain® 100% polyester herringbone twill exterior takes on the elements like a pro, keeping not only you dry, but the down insulation tucked inside the baffles dry as well. The water protection doesn't just stop there, the 700 fill power down features down defender, allowing the down itself to resist moisture. The interior cuffs are made with micro fleece for a soft against the skin touch that kicks drafts away and the Velcro® adjustable cuffs on the exterior help seal even more out. Warm and tough for the snows and winds of winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit I was looking for a warmer coat with a better fit. This coats fits great and is very warm. Wore it on a walk last night and stayed very warm and it was 2 degrees out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Fashionable After one month with the jacket, im enjoying it. It is very warm, I do not need to layer underneath it at all! The fit is excellent, I am 5'6" and 170 lbs and medium fits well. The only downside is it isn't extremely waterproof. During a recent rain it did allow some small amounts of water in at the seams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I expected! I bought this jacket for my husband who hates to be cold. He took the kids sledding in -2 degrees for an hour with no complaints! It fits as expected, looks good and is well-made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy warm Marmot quality jacket I bought this jacket a month ago and it has been great. Walking the dogs in 20 degree temps, I was actually breaking a sweat coming up the big hill with only a long sleeve shirt underneath it. Fast forward to Xmas in Vermont with temps between -5 and 5, and I was still warm. Another reviewer didn’t like the two tones of black, but I think it adds a nice look. I also like the two outside chest pockets for things like a small wallet, passport, car keys etc. I am 6’4 and the XL is long enough to not feel like it is short. Also have a Marmot GoreTex rain jacket and this one looks to be the 2nd Marmot jacket I really love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blend of style and functio I’m 5’8” and about 165 pounds with large shoulders and somewhat short arms. The small was a little tight in the chest/shoulder area and at the bottom with great sleeve length, and the medium fit well other than the arms being a little long. I ended up getting the medium and the length of the arms hasn’t been an issue when I just tighten the Velcro at the ends. I’m glad I went with the larger and more comfortable size. My fit issue is really just due to my dimensions as i’ve run into similar problems across most brands. The coat looks good, is very warm, and I have enough space for layering for extra cold days in Michigan. Generally though, the coat is warm enough to be worn in most conditions without much underneath as long as you aren’t being completely sedentary. The coat feels durable, but it’s hard to say for sure since I’ve only had it for about a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm I bought the Fordham jacket for the super cold days walking the dog and for going to Steelers games. I have not been disappointed. Haven't had the chance to test it sitting through a cold game yet, but in single digits walking the dog have stayed almost too warm. All that and it looks good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son loves it! I bought this for my 16yo son, he loves it! Most kids won't wear coats for some stupid reason, he wears this everywhere. It's very warm for the Wisconsin winter, and styling. Someone told him he looks like a model with it on. He may even be sleeping with it now.

Hi, What is the inner lining made of? I don't want a jacket that has an inner lining made of nylon or other "cling wear" that sticks to your skin when you sweat! I am looking for a waterproof, insulated jacket w/out a lining that sticks to your skin.

Asked by: Doug
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I must say....you're quite the dreamer. But here at Moosejaw....we make dreams come true! The inner lining of this jacket is 100% polyester, or Polyethylene Naphthalate. Now, both nylon and polyester are synthetic fibers, but other than that, they're quite different. I think you'll find that this jacket is not going to be super sticky when you sweat! Hope this helps you out!

How does the 2xl fit? Im 5'8 260. In north face I wear a 2xl and that fits just fine.

Asked by: hutchiehutch
Thanks for the question! The Fordham Jacket has a "regular fit", so it won't be too tight or too loose. Marmot and The North Face will have comparable fits. We always recommend choosing your fit based off the size chart. The size 2XL will fit a chest range of 48-50, waist 39-42, and hips 45-48. Also, the center back length is approximately 35 inches. Hope this helps a little!

Is this a good jacket for downhill skiing? Is there a Marmot that’s better for skiing?

Asked by: Grizjohnson
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Did you know that Norse mythology describes the god Ullr and the goddess Skaði hunting on skis?? (Crickets chip.) Anyhoooo....to your question, I would most definitely say 'Yes'. In fact, I've spoken to several customers who've used this jacket for skiing. To great success, I might add! However, if you want to compare that to another Marmot skiing jacket, check out the Marmot Men's Shadow Jacket. Both amazing jackets and both have extraordinary quality! Hope this helps you out. Hugsies!
