The Marmot Men's Fordham Jacket is a waterproof down jacket for cold, wet weather endeavours. The classic, rugged look features wide baffles and a zip-off drop hood for warmth. The dual chest pockets compliment the two hand pockets, allowing for plenty of spots to tuck your phone, snacks and extra gloves. The MemBrain® 100% polyester herringbone twill exterior takes on the elements like a pro, keeping not only you dry, but the down insulation tucked inside the baffles dry as well. The water protection doesn't just stop there, the 700 fill power down features down defender, allowing the down itself to resist moisture. The interior cuffs are made with micro fleece for a soft against the skin touch that kicks drafts away and the Velcro® adjustable cuffs on the exterior help seal even more out. Warm and tough for the snows and winds of winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I have a number of jackets, some old with holes in them, some newer and pretty good, and a heavy duty parka for when it really gets cold up here in the midwest. But every jacket has had a drawback in some way. So after looking carefully at all the insulated jackets at Moosejaw, checking out the features and reading the reviews, the Marmot Fordham jacket looked like the one for me. I am 6'1" plus, and am a bit heavy at about 200 lbs. I am at retirement age though I am still working. I chose the XL Tall after reading the sizing chart. The jacket arrived very fast, a day earlier than expected. I looked it over carefully checking out all the features. Then I put it on and it fits perfectly (slightly loose which is what most Americans prefer IMO). The jacket is super-comfortable, waterproof, and quite warm. I guesstimate that it would be fine down to zero degrees, perhaps more if the wind is not too strong. Also, the jacket is very light in weight; when I received the box I was struck by that. The hood works very well, and I will keep that on as I walk my dogs almost every day, and we seem to get a lot of wind around here these days, which can make the cold worse. I can no longer take the cold like I used to (I spent a year in the Arctic at Thule Air Base in Greenland during my Air Force days), so this jacket will be great. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm Winter Jacket I've had the jacket for a few weeks now during some of the coldest winter temps in the midwest. It's been a very warm jacket wearing it in 0-15 F temps. Fit is great as well. I'm 6' and 175 pounds and the medium is a good fit. I got the black jacket and I'd rather have an all black rather than the two tone black that it comes in but that's more personal preference. All around great coat for colder winter temps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, Warm, and Comfortable I bought this coat on the Black Friday sale. I selected it for its value after in depth research online. It is by far the best utilitarian winter coat I have ever bought. It looks smashing, is extremely warm, and is very comfortable to wear while going about your daily business. 100% satisfied with my decision and I'm not someone who is typically easy to please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I purchased this jacket for city commuting by mass transit and on foot. I am 5'9'', 150lbs, and got the small. I recently wore it in 15 degree weather with wind chill of approximately 5 degrees. I could wear a tshirt underneath and only have the arms be remotely cool. With a thin fleece, I was toasty warm. There are a lot of complaints about the neck size. With the small size, I found that I had to put the hood up before zipping the jacket all of the way to the top; otherwise, the velcro attachment of the hood would pull free. However, I would prefer this over a jacket that is too big and puffy. I am able to wear a scarf and zip the jacket most of the way. I also have worn it in the rain, and the material seems more water resistant than waterproof. But, it kept me dry.

Hi, What is the inner lining made of? I don't want a jacket that has an inner lining made of nylon or other "cling wear" that sticks to your skin when you sweat! I am looking for a waterproof, insulated jacket w/out a lining that sticks to your skin.

Asked by: Doug
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I must're quite the dreamer. But here at Moosejaw....we make dreams come true! The inner lining of this jacket is 100% polyester, or Polyethylene Naphthalate. Now, both nylon and polyester are synthetic fibers, but other than that, they're quite different. I think you'll find that this jacket is not going to be super sticky when you sweat! Hope this helps you out!
