DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good, I bought a second pair! I just returned from hiking the Haute Route in Switzerland, where I wore the Arch Rock pants almost every day. They were perfect! Although very lightweight, they were also extremely durable over the rocky terrain. Washed in the sink every other afternoon, they dried very quickly & were ready to go for dinner each evening. Side zippered pocket is unobtrusive & useful for money or passport. Back pockets felt a bit "loose"; I wasn't comfortable keeping my wallet back there. Otherwise highly recommended (I've already bought a second pair).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great everyday pant Great overall pant. Only improvement would be to the DWR which wears out quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slim Fit Bought these pants in April 2017. I am 6'4" and ordered the 32x34. the waist and inseam fit as expected, however the crotch and and thighs are tight. If you have strong/athletic legs, not toothpicks, I would suggest a looser fitting pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight pants I purchased my my second pair of arch rock pants and have no regret knowing this product should last me a min 2 years plus. Worth every penny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lightweight pants These are great lightweight pants. I have been alternating between these and OR Equinox pants this winter (temps from 20°-45°F) with a light to mid-weight base layer. Still not sure which I like better. The Equinox have more mechanical stretch, but are a little baggy. The Arch Rock pants are much slimmer, but the cut is still generous enough to fit my large seat & thighs (which is rare for some pants), waist is the same for both & seems close to correct sizing with other pants. Gusseted crotch, knees & seat cut allows for excellent range of motion for high stepping/claiming, etc. Leg cuffs are a tad narrow for fitting over shoes or boots, but manageable. Both have a decent DWR coating, when clean they shed water nicely for about 10-15 minutes depending on contact with other clothing/objects before they wet out, but they dry quickly & don't hold a large amount of water. Pockets are all generously sized (even the cargo pocket!) & well placed. Mesh pockets allow for ventilation, although be careful of sharp objects wearing through or poking holes, especially when hiking (SEE TIP BELOW!). The only improvements would be an extra inch in diameter of leg cuffs & a slight mechanical stretch & these would be perfect five stars. POCKET SAVING TIP: use a key holder - I made my own from a 3" long piece of 1.5" diameter bike inner tube & a short section of ball chain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit & Wear These slacks have a great fit, wear well, look good after washing & have just enough zippered pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable trousers I really like the fit, they are a great weight for wondering about in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellently Cut Perfect amount of Stretch I wanted to get some more 4 way stretch pants, I probably have 6 pairs now. A few Marmot Screes and Rockstar's, some O.R Ferrosi's and now these bad boys and I have to say that I really like the way these fit the best. They aren't as stretchy as the other ones, but still have an ample amount of stretch. They fit a tad large around the waist, a fact that I personally like because I hate sitting down and getting squeezed. Love the microfiber waistband liner, and dig the tapering effect of the legs, that way, I am not walking on the back of my cuffs like I am with all of my other 4 way stretch pants. On the other ones I have to cinch the cuffs a bit if I wear em with a particular pair of shoes else they will drag on the ground and it drives me nuts. These taper more so I can avoid that. The rear pockets don't zip like the other ones I own, but I like that more because I never use my back pockets..ever. These are more like a 'regular' pant than the other 4 ways I have worn, and for that reason they don't look as out of place when wearing them around the office. I totally dig these and will be getting them in all the colors by the time they quit making em and move on to the next design. Cant go wrong with these.
